I'm using a generic usb tuner with AverMedia A850 driver.
Works well, but with some limitations. I wonder if these limitations apply if I had an original AverMedia A850 (eg Black Volar HD)?
I should say that the DTT service I receive has 1 mux, with 7 TV & 10 radio stations.
The limitations become apparent when recording.
I can record 1 service, watch any other, no problem.
But when I record 2 services, then the limitations become apparent. The second recording won't work unless the vu+ is left on this channel. Switching to another channel (sat or dtt) gives a break in the recording. Switch back, and the recording resumes.
Also, sometimes while recording DTT "Service unavailable- PMT invalid" message appears on screen. I think this only happens when trying to record more than one channel.
So, is this a hardware or driver limitation? Does a genuine AverMedia or Nova-T have these limitations?
Please understand, I don't mean this as a criticism, I'm just curious.
