Hi all.

Problem with my Vu+Duo and BH 2.1.1 : my usb dvb-t tuner is unsupported. However, this tuner was recognized with BH 2.0.5.

The tuner is a Hauppauge WinTV Nova-T-USB2. With BH 2.0.5, it appeared as "Soho FX2"

A txt file made with telnet commands is joined as asked on top.

Regards.

Seems there is a problem with a driver. I'll investigate

More information. Today I tried to instal again BH 2.0.5 and, bad surprise, my USB tuner is no more recognized ! Same thing with BH 2.1.0, 2.1.0.1, 2.0.9.1, and even with 1.7.9. I stopped for today because I get discouraged ! I suspect that something remains in memory on my Vu+Duo despite the image changes but I don't know what...

After a flash, the box memory is wiped.

OK. A friend of mine lent me a WinTV MiniStick USB tuner. It is recognized with BH 2.1.1. Unfortunately, it seems that this device is less sensitive than my old own one. So I am ready to buy a new one. And I need the most or one of the most sensitive USB tuner, available today and 100% compatible with BH 2.1.1 (and later I hope !). Anybody here could give me good advices ? Is there somewhere a list of USB DVB-T tuners compatible with BH 2.1.1 ? Thx

I bought a PCTV 74e tuner. On my PC with Windows 7, all is ok. All the channels are received with very good quality, no reception problem. It is very sensitive. But on my VU+ Duo with the same antenna (on the roof), no reception ! Conclusion : the VU+Duo is responsible. What can i do now ?

Very strange. I used PCTV 74e with success in my Vu+ boxes.

So I did it. But always the same problem. I tried with BH 2.0.5. No result... I think about a problem with the power supply. Maybe the 5V for USB is slightly too low. It could explain why some dvb-t tuners are ok and some others not. What do you think about it ?

Not all USB DVB devices are equal becuase they uses different IC components and some of them needs more power than standard.

@angelofsky1980, did you ever connect directly your 74e on your vu+ without using powered USB hub ? And if you did it, what happened ? I connected the 74e on the rear of my Duo. My receiver detect the 74e as "tuner C" but when I scan frequencies, no channel detected. Another question, because I want to understand, why are you using an powered USB hub ? A lot of USB device to connect on your Vu+ ? Other reason ?

My PCTV 74e is connected to SoloSE with other 3 USB devices (total 4 devices into a powered hub) and two other devices in another USB port of the box without powered hub and all works properly.
