It's possible to use this image with a tp-link usb by wi-fi? How?

I have the linux general drivers downloaded from the tp-link page....

only I do not understand how you had with 4 providers over 20 MB EPG
I've tested to download all providers and it is about 25 to 30 MB.
Of course on the clean image
and it was possible but I had at the end an unstable image
and as a finale enigma crash.

If you have a couple of plugins you can not use more than 20 MB EPG
probably about 10 to 15 MB
especially not if you use bigger plugins that you use now.

HDD/USB is just a place to share EPG dat
between memory and crossepg
at the start and restart image
all epg go to memory and back to the HDD or USB
if you make restart or Shutdown.

I have 02 more questions:
1/sometimes in crossepg configuration the storage path changes from USB stick, to internal flash?
Should i keep it like this or at every time i have to change crossepg configuration from internal flash to USB?
2/ crossepg does not appear in BH epg Panel Blue>>Red>>Red button, I have only /media/usb//epg.dat?

1.This can happen only if you usb stick is not mounted
or not doing well with VU, and is sometimes mounted, sometimes not mounted.
(You can check in BH Devices manager)
or something you've changed or deleted.
2. /media/usb/epg.dat is OK
 
NEW NEW NEW: Add 4 different servers for rytec epg and a new algorithm to prevent servers overload and maximize performance: At every download one server is select randomly between the four avaialable. The server is checked to know if it is online and have a good tranfer speed, otherwise another server is selected.. and so on...​
Might be a stupid assumption but does this have anything to do with trying to fix the BH EPG green screen when downloading EPG for more than 1 provider?

i have changed from using vix and vti to this mage and i think the blackhole image is a different league to all the other images around....amazing stuff guys....im only having one problem..i bought a d-link wifi usb as per the type advised on this site and when i plug it into the back of my vu duo nothing happens.
does anyone have an idiots guide (suitable sadly for me) to setting up a wifi usb dongle with the blackhole 1.6.1 PB that i can try and follow..thanx

Post in the WiFi drivers section more details about the device you have bought.

2x Blue -> USB tuner are for USB DVB-T drivers and NOT for WiFi.

I dont see any problems 4 provider to download and all work ok very nice and fast.

Please first good setup image and your other plugins skin etc.
 
I have some problem with EPG. I get the error " FATAL: epgcache.cpp:150 ASSERTION pos <= 4108 FAILED!" in the crash file when I try to browse the EPG. Please check if this issue could be fixed. Otherwise CrossEPG is perfect. My ext.epg.dat file size was around 7 MB. Not huge really. Are there any other memory issues?
 
Hi Guys

I have BH 1.6.1 PB latest image installed in VU+Duo flash. I have various older versions of BH and other backup images installed in meoboot (multiboot) including BH 1.6.1 PB nfi image. Now if I want to use the previously installed images from the meoboot, it crashes and there is a error message saying that the flash image does not support the older versions or the flash image must be of old version.

1) Please can some of our expert friends here comment if the latest images in Flash does not support the older images in meoboot?

2) Also d/loading plugins from the images download Server crashes and the receiver freezes whereby I have to restart it using the rear ON/OFF switch.

I have read some of your problems.
I always ask the counter question.

Do you have these problems when you install a clean image ?
Test first all with clean image.

In most cases the problem arises with the installation and adding
plugins and the like that or not Complementary to image
or they fill the memory.

For the old images in multiboot the same
if their drivers and the like are no longer Complementary with new images
then they can no longer work well.

We do not make plugins and other images.
In most cases you have to renew other images
or try to renew drivers.
 
For those who use CrossEPG for some open TV and MHW2 providers providers
Example D+(MHW2 download HD channels 7 days epg),C+ NL (xmltv 7 days Epg)
is better to disable OPEN TV Loader to have a full EPG.

This is because the EPG SAT stream of these providers is not good

Blue>>Red>>Red>>Open TV loader ...NO
Epg Popup NO

Do not forget sometimes CrossEPG load does not work well
so you have to do that manually reload Force EPG in CrossEPG

There are two possibilities

or you have put it into the image something that uses lots of memory
or the EPG data was bad .
