Blank scan and HDD movies freezing

Hi Can anyone help me, apologies if i am putting this in the wrong place.
I have a VU duo running 2.0.2 rev. D

I have 2 questions : i have added a 2TB HDD so that i can watch movies that i transfer to it, but when i play them after about 10-15mins its starts to bring up the loading icon and then the movies go into slow motion and freeze. I have to turn the box off from the back for it to respond.

The other question is that is there anything called blank scan? i am trying to find out if there is a way of updating those channels which has a frequency change automatically?

Nobody will answer to you for 2.0.2 D question in 2.0.8 thread ;).
So, update to 2.0.8 and try again your HDD.
Blank scan? Do you mean Blind Scan (as I remember, not supported by Duo) or FastScan (has to be supported by provider)?
 
Thanks I have updated to 2.0.8 but the problem with playing movies from hdd is still there. Any ideas?

I will try fast scan, is this a plug in? Where do I get it from.

Reformat your HDD using initialise and remount.
 
Thank you both. BH lover can you please give me step by step instruction on how to make the HDD work better to movies don't freeze.

You need to reformat it so you will lose all recordings (unless you backup to pc)

You need to press > menu>setup>system>hard drive> initialisation> press ok on your HDD... Then when you see initise in red in box press RED BUTTON

Once formatted you will need to remount your HDD

Blue button x2>devices manager>red button and mount your HDD as media/hdd
 
Thanks BH lover, i went through this process when i first installed the HDD, but there have been a bit of recordings since not much though. I will try this again over the weekend and transfer movies and try again.
I will let you know how i get on.

hello,

DD freeze and blocks such as Tushar Patel in movie playback. mkv 1080. other avi. divxx or no concern. I think here is the player that does not support the video stream. I have well formatted and mounted again DD. bh 2.08 flash updatée that advise me please. thank you.

after a lot of research and have tested on OpenPLi the same symptoms persist. Return to BH 2.09. here can not come from quality. mkv or DD .. I stopped to look for the solution, if a mkv. plant, I delete.
