Can you also turn off the Subtitle by default ?
menu - setup - system - A/V settings
Dolby Digital default = Yes
Dolby Digital downmix = Yes
Should sort that out for you.
Blue button twice, auto language and subtitles, and set all subtitle options to None and the 4 other options to No.
Should switch them off and keep them off then.
The only other thing I can think of, is in the auto language and subtitles page, change the option Prefer audio stream stored by service to no.
If that doesn't stop it happening, then i've no idea what the problem is.
