Hi BH Team!
I need a 3rd DVB-S2 tuner in my Duo2 and so a couple of months ago I bought and tested with no success the Terratec Cinergy S2 USB stick (AFAIK it's not yet supported by any image).
After that I've surfed the net and found a user that wrote to be able to use a DVBSky S960 with OpenVix and so I've bought that USB stick too. This tuner has a very good Linux support from the manufacturer (contrary to Terratec).
Arrived some days ago, tested on my Win7 notebook and worked fine, then connected to my Duo2 with BH 2.0.9.1 (with and without a powered hub) but with no luck... not recognized... (listed among USB devices but no drivers loaded).
Then I wanted to test with OpenVix and therefore flashed the latest OpenVix Zeus v.23, DVBSKY S960 was not recognized, so I went to plugin, then drivers, found and installed the "dvb-usb-dvbsky" driver:
but installation failed with the message "Cannot satisfy the following dependencies...."
So again no luck...
Then I decided to flash the last OpenVix 3 series image (3.0.808, 12/2013), then went to plugin->drivers and found the "dvb-usb-dw2012" driver (which the original user on the forum said to be using with DVBSky S960), installation went fine and voila'....
the DVBSky S960 was recognized and perfectly working (SCR/Unicable compatible)!
But the OpenVix 3 series is a discontinued image...
Luckily, the next day (19 april) OpenVix team just released the first image of the new series: Helios v.001.
So I decided to try this very latest image and in the menu plugin->drivers I found again the "dvb-usb-dw2012" driver (the "dvb-usb-dvbsky" is no longer included as it was previously in the Zeus).
Installed with no errors, and it's working again!

But... as you know I don't like the OpenVix so much as the Black Hole...
It' s a good and stable image, but has some limitations compared to BH, and a less beautiful user interface and skins.
And moreover OperVix Helios has other USB driver problems:
tested the 4 DVB-T sticks I own (all of them work on BH):
1) Avermedia A867 (Digital Key blu led): works very badly, recognized but tuning is ultra slow and almost always fails on HD channels
2) Avermedia Volar Green HD (chipset af9035); not recognized
3) Hauppauge WinTV Ministick HD (chipset siano): not recognized, "dvb-usb-siano" driver fails to install due to missing dependencies: kernel-module-smsusb and kernel-module-smsdvb
4) Hauppauge WinTV Duet HD (chipset DiB7700): recognized using "dvb-usb-dib0700" driver and working correctly (at least one!).
But again... unfortunately the Hauppauge WinTV Duet HD has the worst sensibility (as I previously wrote here) and causes a lot of microblocks on weak channels, while internal Duo2 DVB-T tuner and other my sticks perform much better, no microblocks.

And finally my question:
I have all the output txt files of the OpenVix and BH images and even a full image backup of the OpenVix 3.0.808 and Helios 1.00.
The BH 2.0.9.1 has already the kernel module "dvb-usb-dw2102.ko" inside.
Can the DVBSky S960 be supported in Black Hole?
I myself can offer all my collaboration and support!
