Fine tune with Motor in 'static' setup?

Vu+ Newbie
Hi,

Im completely new in the 'scene'. But since my Philips DVB-S (TV) was working pretty crappy, i decided to buy a VU+ DUO2. In the basics all works (running BH)! Great software !

I used to have one LNB on a MOTOR with UALS (for Astra 1, 2 and 3). That itself worked fine. Now I'm having a MOTOR + DUAL LNB (Astra 19.2 + 23.5). I setup my BOX with DiSEqC A/B.

My 1st question is:

Is it possible via CLI (telnet) to send DiSEqC command to move the motor left/right. So i could fine tune the signal? (My dish is on the roof and I'm on the 1st floor, its kind of a hassle to align correctly).

My 2nd question is:

I would like to also receive Astra 2 (28.2). No since i have a motor…. But how do i setup a MOTOR with a dual LNB?

Many thanks for your help!

1. I think not.
(There is software for this purpose for the PC)
but I forgot the name and I do not know if it works with the VU.
Perhaps there is also for mobile phone ??
2.You can not receive three satellites without using motor with a dual LNB.
In this case, the second LNB is out of position.

@Matrax thank your for the reply.

2. but thats not a problem. For me Astra 2 is something i watch rarely, and that the other LNB is out of position is fine. Question is, how do you configure a setup like that :s

That is the problem.
I think with three LNBs would be easier to achieve what you want
with 3 tuners and 3 cables or with diseqc switch and motor for all other Sats.

For DUO LNB
This setup is the same as if you have only one LNB,
USALS for one LNB
The second LNB could probably used on satellites located 3 degrees further
But I have not test this configuration .

Maybe someone else has a better idea

The problem is, I'm on 1st floor, the roof is floor 6. Im running one coax cable (>25 meters). For 3 LNBS i need 2 more cables, also inside. All very inconvenient. The DUAL KNB for Astra 1 & 3 suits my needs. Just from time to time i would like to reposition the primary LNB (Astra 23.5) to Astra 2.

One of possibilities is replace Duo LNB with triple LNB 19,23,28 E Astra 1.2.3

Google translated

Do you use a DUO LNB (LNB with two legs) and want to replace the Triple LNB?
Check that the DUO LNB with 23.5-leg is attached in the holder. Both legs of the LNB is
a value (19.2 or 23.5). Is the 23.5-foot indeed confirmed in the holder, then you probably without
again to set the DUO LNB replaced with a triple LNB. After replacing the DUO LNB
make sure that the satellite dish and LNB are well aligned with the reception of the channels (called
checking. in part C of this Guide)
If you have a single LNB still or sitting DUO LNB clamped in position 19.2 then you dish again
must align * after you have replaced the old Triple LNB LNB
