Genesis Addon XBMC stopped working

Hello,

Genesis as been updated and I'm getting
Script Failed: Genesis
Error
When I try to open a ep or movie inside the addon.

Update Log confirms there was 2 updates in last days. Probably caused this.

Is there anything BH Team can do?

I found the FIX. Credits to another author that stumbled upon this fix without even knowing.

Just run this on Telnet inside box:
opkg install python-pkgutil

Works right away. I hope this comes in future version of OBH.

can u explain how u do this? never used telnet before.
 
Connect with DCC
You see one of the menus on the left side Telnet
There you find a command screen

You just have to put that exact command in there and press ENTER

If you never used DCC find it on Google install and run it.

comes up with unknown package!
 
You are using BlackHole or Open BlackHole?

I suppose your using normal BH.
I'm using OBH that supports this kind of installs it's based on OpenPli and it's one of the nicer things we are able to fix our own images.

I don't know if and when the BH will update the normal BH image. If you don't want to wait start using OBH.
It's very coooool and faster you will notice faster xbmc response times entering menus etc.

However, when I click on any movie I get opening stream and that stays there for quite sometime and then the media players starts but the movie does not play. I tried waiting and clicking OK but still nothing happens. Its an mp4 file.

I am running OBH 0.1 and xbmc 13.2. I also updated the image for 3rd-party-feed-config.

Anyone having this problem on Geneses?

Thanks to grik for the fix...Genesis working ok here on obh. Anyone got navix working on obh.........works on bh 2.1.6 ok but not on obh
 
Sorry i don't have any fix for both. I think it's totally different problems I guess.

Try to google it that's how I got to the fix another forum already had people trying to fix.

I'm glad I could help more people.
