The optimal solution is to format your USB HDD with Vu+Solo box into Linux filesystem but the HDD is usable only on linux systems like your box or linux PC.
There will be the possibility to format your USB HDD into PC in NTFS format and use it connected to your Vu+Solo box but disk performances drop very quickly.
