HDMI splitter

Hi all. I've just got myself 2 VU+ zero boxes. In my bedroom I have an Alba TV with 1 HDMI input. I had previously had a PS4 and SKY HD+ box running through a HDMI splitter (3-1).

Neither VU+ will work with this splitter - well only for a few seconds before cutting out. I've tried on my Samsung TV downstairs as well as a smaller Logik, but no luck. I've also tried the splitter on my simpler Amsted box and it works fine.

So does anyone use a HDMI splitter with their VU+ zero? And if so could they tell me where they purchased it or the brand if possible? Many thanks.
 
iirc the zero uses hdmi 1.4, and therefore needs high speed hdmi cables and hdmi 1.4 certified splitter.

I use an aLLreli 5 Port v1.4 HDMI Switch and have Duo2, Solo2, SoloSE, Zero and Ultimo connected to it at the moment and have no issue's.

I also had some problem with a 1.3 HDMI (3 to1) all my other boxes worked fine except for the Vu+ Zero.
I had to change in setting the "refreshing rate" from multi to 50 Hrz and the "colour space "(or something similar) to RGB and it worked . So no need for me to buy a 1.4 HDMI
