Hi guys,

Sorry to bother with this matter,

I recently bought a new vu+duo2, I try to follow all the steps to install Black Hole, Or Open vix or similar but without any success.

I copy the image folder tuples on the usb (try 3 different usb) I put it on the front of the receiver and pushed the power button ....flashing starts and then practically srly fast it come to ubifsupdate. and just stay there.nothing happens.
When i restart the receiver it comes to the same logo without nothing.
Am i missing something??there is any standard images that i must use before?
the original 3.0 image from vu also doesn't work.

Have you tried to format your usb with the HP format tool ?

I am sure it has been posted on the board already but if you can not find it I have a copy I can post later.
 
Check that you have the latest bootloader, when turning on your VU+ Duo 2, at the rear, you should get a quick CFE Version message, if yours reads CFE 2 then it is the latest.
Format your USB stick to FAT 32, on your PC.
Download the VU+ Duo 2 Black Hole image:

unzip the image, using Winzip, Winrar, or the free 7-zip utility, and copy the vuplus folder onto your USB stick.
Turn off your receiver, at the rear, insert the USB stick, in the front USB slot.
Turn the receiver on, using the rear switch, and hold down the front power button.
When it states reading USB stick release the power button.
You should get a message stating flashing the receiver, formatting, installing, and then a message stating it's finished, at which point you remove the USB stick and allow the receiver to boot up, and guide you throught the set up process.

Are all your USB sticks the same make? Try a cheap, small, USB stick, these tend to work best. I use a cheap 8GB Toshiba, that always works.
 
Guys,many thx for ur help.....is official the usb was the issue. If u can buy a maximal 8gb usb 2.0 and it works.
Tell me which image is better?? Black Hole ,Openvix, open vdi??
 
I finally managed to resolve the issue ,was on the usb.
Now everything works very nice and smooth,
just one question how do I add my *****.cfg?
thx in advance for the help
