New VU+ Solo2 box does not boot

Hi,

I have been searching the forum for hints but I could not find anything specific to the VU+ Solo2 box

I got my box a week ago and out of the box it did not boot - just got stuck and the display showed "starting". I then went to download the latest black hole images and flashed the box (USB stick / FAT32). I removed the USB stick when "rebooting 9...0" got displaid.

Now out one of 10 times the box boots but when pressing menue on the RC nothing can be done.

I am not sure if there is anything wrong with the box or with the image or with the way I am flashing the image as the behaviour is the same with other images.

Any help or hints are much appreciated. Thanks Boexli

If the box did not boot out of the box, then you may have a defective one. Return it to your dealer and exchange for another one.

Reflash and don't remove stick, until shows "rebooting in 2 seconds" or let stick in and don't press power button on reboot. Remove stick on "Starting" after reboot.

Thanks for all the replies. Just brought it back today. Will get a replacement within the next six days. Seems it was really a broken box. Fingers crossed the new box will behave differently :eek:

I have the same problem, the official vu+ image is working but not the BH ones (2.0.4 & 2.0.3).
I have a vu+ solo2 and i flashed my receiver 3times now.

Problem : Starting Gui... and nothing after!

Mea culpa (My bad), i have a new Vuplus i've never used it untill tonight, and i did the mistake to put a used HDD before to install my fresh image.

I have same problem with my new VU+ Solo2 box....tried to flash BH Image so many times without success. Now will contact the customer service for a replacement or solve the problem.

But after reboot 9,8,7...0 it remains text "starting..." on the VU screen and television shows still a picture of Vu+. Is it really so, that machine is broken?

If your box stays on "Starting..." phase try to remove ALL of your device connected except the HDMI cable and verify if works

OK. Now black hole is working. It was actually beause of motoring antenna set ups. Now I have a new antenna with 4 LNB possibiliies and all chanels opens. You must get exact strong signal and then satellite will be "locked".
