OpenBH 4.2 Vu+ Zero4K

Not from this forum: here you have only files for a FRESH, CLEAN image install. Only learning how to configure it by yourself you'll be able to fully control your box and take advantage of its powerful features.

Since yesterday the Image does not start. Before shutdown, it played TSmedia 13.1
Twice I did flash, at the end I went back to the previous version.
Let's see if the problem continues
 
In manual tuning of OBH i can only select DVBS/S2, not S2X, in Black Hole i can select s2x as well. is this a bug?
 
whenever i flash fresh OBH image, everything works fine, after a while DCC & DreamEdit gives error (Login Fail on FTP, but Telenet connects successfully) is there any workaround beside re-flashing?

Dreamboedit ... check your profile configuration.

User: root
Password: ( No Password )

Note: For DCC ... use the passive mode too, regarding the login entries.

Dear nunigaia,
thanks for replying, i have followed you instructions and it didnt work, strange thing is, when i re-flash the image, every thing works fine for a while (for 1 week more or less) then suddenly DCC and DE stops responding,
and by the way when i re-flash the image i use "root" as username and password,
User: root
Password: root,
in DCC & DE and both connects flawlessly. i can still communicate with the receiver via Win10 networking (Zero4k shows as a PC on my network and i can access all the files and folders in it).
 
Found another thing in setup/network/utilities/ftp, FTP is stopped, when i try to start it, it stays stopped.

Try and reflash only the kernel. This means that, in your image folder, the one named after your decoder, you must have ONLY these two files:

kernel_auto.bin
reboot.update

This issue about FTP that stops working happened sometimes to me, too, in the past but not any longer in the last year or two. I suspect it depends on some plugins.
My advice is, in case, to see what happens reflashing a clean image without any plugins, especially the strange ones... ;)
 
Thank you so much indeed! Both of you!, I will flash kernel only, should i extract kernel from image zipped file?

Yes: take the same zip file of the original image but, as I said, in the last folder keep only the two files I wrote. Delete the other ones. But the folders' structure must be the same (In your case should be /vuplus/zero4k).
 
Flashing the kernel did the job! FTP is again working perfectly now. Thanks once again you guys!!!
