Recover config after image upgrade

Hi,
I would like to find a find a way to recover the following that get lost after an image upgrade:
1. picons: I need each time to recreate the /usr/share/enigma2/picon directory and its content
2. a specific skin (blue night or something like that) ; each time it comes back with the default one
3. a specific add-on that I need to recopy into the /tmp directory than have it installed manually
4. epg settings that need to be redone (provider, automatic download time etc ...)

Any solution to achieve this ?

Something could be recovered restoring the personal backup (maybe EPG settings?)

1. use a USB pendrive, you'll never loose your picons.
2. skin could be easily reinstalled from feeds
3. only possible to install again from source
4. see above.

Generally most of the configurations are stored in the settings file: save it as a backup.
