just asking how menay people on the forum use ssd rather then the normal hd in there vu resevers and do there give do there keep the resever a lot cooler then a normal hard driver if so could some one recommend one please

2,5" HDD doesn't heat so much, SSD mounted in box for recordings are money thrown away.
 
Hi, I use 512MB SSD by crucial in my Solo2.
was a spare out of my pc that had been updated to 1tb.
no heat, no noise, no spin up, and you wont get quicker
 
I use Crucial CT064M4SSD2 64GB M4 SATA III 6Gb/s 2.5" SSD since July 2013 and I'm happy with it. For me it's absolutely good enough.

I used Kdata 128 GB SSD, Intel 160 Gb SSD and an hybrid SSHD on my Vu+ and my Prismcube
The performance are definetly better, temperature and noise are much lower
