system wont start.

I am a complete newbie so please bare with me. I have had my vu+ duo box for over 18 months and never had any problems until now. I just got back off of my holidays and every thing was fine before I went but when I got back and powered up my system it either wont connect to the tv or it just sticks on the loading image and I cant access any thing channels, menus etc. do I need to install a new image if so what is recommended.

Try to reflash a newer image first.
