USB HDTV DVB-T tuner

Can someone please suggest a good, reliable and tested usb DVB-T tuner that supports HDTV also for VU+ Duo?

And maybe a suggestion regarding to where to buy online?

All USB DVB-T tuners supports HD transmissions.
The only exception is the experimental DVB-T2 transmissions in UK.

There are good devices like Avermedia A867, Pinnacle PCTV 74e and others.

OK. I did a little search and I came up with 2 possibilities (I assume that they are both MPEG-4 - correct me if I am making a mistake):

1. AVERMEDIA USB DVB-T AVerTV Volar HD A835 (http://www.pixmania.com.cy/cy/gr/04824462/art/avermedia/Κλειδι-usb-dvb-t-avertv-volar-hd-a835.html)
2. PCTV SYSTEMS USB key PCTV nanoStick Solo Sports (http://www.pixmania.com.cy/cy/gr/09607057/art/pctv-systems/usb-key-pctv-nanostick-solo-sports.html)

They are both priced at 23.90 euro plus shipping.

Since, I have no experience at all regarding this issue, does anyone have any suggestion as to which one will work better?

I followed your suggestion and bought Avermedia A867. I received it yesterday and I immediately installed it. It works perfectly! Thanks for your suggestion.

Not necessary you should buy so expensive with advanced remote control, which you will never use. 2 weeks ago I did put on Duo2 this one:

Today afternoon AverMedia arrive! I have already tested and it works perfectly fine! Thanks to mgalins and thanks also to Palinkat. I think that I'll buy also Realtek tuner receiver. It's very convenient.

Hi guys,

I purchased a AVerMedia AVerTV Volar HD Nano Digital TV Tuner USB Capture DVB-T Remote A867R for my Vu+ Duo running latest Black Hole image.
I can get terrestrial channels however they are pixelated and not good enough to watch. I have checked cables and all setting with no improvement.
The cable directly into the TV is perfect.
Do you think its a driver issue?

@skimitchell : You can't compare TV tuner to USB DVB-T tuner. Sensibility is different.
My list of selected tuners from best to worth : 1. WinTV-Nova-T 2. Astrometa DVBT/T2/C DAB FM (only DVB-T on Linux) 3. Fujitsu Siemens Zarlink MT-352 chip 4. LV5T Deluxe

So you saying that my tuner may never function correctly. Gutted as i read on a forum that it worked perfectly on same box.
Do you know where to purchase WinTV-Nova-T in Australia?
