Hi ,
Never had a problem with earlier versions, but 2.1.4 freezing regularly(and even a restart would not cure) and have had to do a clean re- install at least 3/5 times a day since it came out....sensing something not right I installed earlier ver 2.1.3....no problem now.
So I am sensing 2.1.4 not suitable for my personal unit.
Will try 2.1.5 if and when.....loll .:unsure::unsure::unsure:

ayayyyyyyyyyy..........j'allais l'installer et à paine que j'ai lu cette nouvelle que je vais temporisé un bon bout de temps.

Gosh...2.1.3 has just frozen....I was viewing at the time..not zapping anything....any ideas what to do anyone....:help::help::help:

No problem here, also with a VU+ Duo 2.
You can try a fresh installation, but this time don't load any backups, instead do a scan, of the satellite you're on, then keep it running checking for any signs of the freezing problem.
Can you also please check your receivers system information, press Blue followed by Yellow.
Prior to loading Black Hole 2.14 I did load the latest official firmware, from the VU+ site, as advised in a different thread, you could also try this.

Thanks Mick,
Been stable now for24 hrs (fingers crossed)
i have a motorised dish Tuner "A"
Fixed dish Hotbird 13.2 ,Fixed dish Astra 28.2 2way disc switch Tuner "B"
Terrestial Tuner"C"

What I have tried is....Disconnect the disc switch..Connect the feed from Astra 28.2 directly to Tuner "B" and thats how it is just now.
Could the disc be intermittently faulty and causing the intermittent freeze?

A faulty Diseqc switch could be the problem, so could a loose connection, causing a short, you could check all cables, and F connectors, once you've ruled out a problem with your receiver, and software.
Keep the setup, as you now have it, and run a soak test, cojnstant use, and checking for faults, over the weekend.
If you have no more freezes then I think you've isolated the problem to the Diseqc switch, or the connectiion to 13E.

Thanks...Will do....

My box had the same problem. But I found out that I had some problem with internet connection. Now it works fine again. :)

Hi Mick,
Everthing back to original installation and seems now to be stable....Oh I remember one thing other I had set up was Meoboot on usb 8 gig all formatted at ext4....but on same usb have Picons and crossepg...although I was not using Meoboot at the time of the freeze it was still in root dir....will be putting this back shortly...any reason not to?

You'll know if it freezes. If it does you can either format the USB stick or try a different one, and different USB port.
Once you've tracked down the problem you can fix it, if it is just a faulty USB stick, or software, on the USB stick, then the fix is cheap, and simple.
Hopefully it is only this and nothing major.
