I have just bought a VU+DUO and wondered what is the best and most stable Image to install?

You clearly haven't read the rules as no clone discussion is allowed on the forum.
If you have a clone then I adviswe you return it to your supplier and buy an official VU+ receiver as the clones are of poor quality and will not work with all the latest software.
