VU+ SOLO can't connect HDMI into Samsung TV

Vu+ Newbie
Hi,

I can't connect my VU+ SOLO with HDMI cable into Samsung TV.

HDMI cable it's ok and work with another TV perfect.

Samsung TV
49'' Smart 4K UHD TV

HDMI SEC:
HDMI CEC enabled: Yes
Set VU device name: VU+ Solo
Choose TV HDMI input: HDMI 1
Choose A/V-Receiver HDMI input: HDMI 1
TV ON => VU+ activity: VU Wakeup
TV Standby => VU+ activity: Nothing
VU ON => TV activity: TV Wakeup
VU Standby => TV activity: TV standbay
VU deepstandbay => TV activity: Nothing

Thank you for any Help on this.

What do you mean by "can't connect"? You can't control the TV by the VU+?
If so, why
Choose A/V-Receiver HDMI input: HDMI 1 ?
I don't have an HDMI input in my VU+ but I wouldn't set it to the same HDMI port of the output to the TV.
And why the last line?
VU deepstandbay => TV activity: Nothing
I'd set it as "Standby".

Although I think your settings should work as well... But, just to be sure ;)

So, you can't see the VU+. And, then, why you posted about the HDMI CEC section? Its aim is to switch on or off the TV by the VU+: it has nothing to do with the display connection.

NO. Sorry for that!
I'm noob I was think that is be related!

Do you know what it can be?

Thank you

Impossible to say: it might be whatever.
Do you see anything at the startup?
If not it could mean you have a HW problem in your VU+ but, to be sure, connect something else, also a monitor with HDMI input.
Instead, if you see the bootlogo at the booting and then nothing, it might be some wrong audio/video settinng.
If you press menu can you see anything?

What do you mean saying: "HDMI cable it's ok and work with another TV perfect"?
Another TV connected to what? the same VU+?
If not, apart from what said above, there might be some incompatibility between this particular cable and the (VU+, SAMSUNG) relationship ;)
After all, buying another HDMI cable is not so terrible.

No. I try the HDMI cable in other TV with VU+ Solo, and works fine.

Thank you for the reply.

I'm in contact with Samsung support, to try fix this issue!

OMG: so you are able to connect the same VU+ to another TV, arent't you? It's very important to be precise to avoid any doubts. I think so, reading through your words, but the question was precise, the answer wasn't.

Good. So, instead of depending on Samsung support, it would worth (even as a spare cable in case one got broken) to buy another one, possibly not from the chinese ;)

There are several VU+ Solo models, on the market, starting with the very old VU+ Solo, but the range also includes the VU+ Solo2, the VU+ Solo SE, and the VU+ Solo 4K.
It seems strange that you have a reasonably new television but a very old VU+ receiver, can you please confirm that you have the older VU+ Solo receiver?
Can you also please post the model version, of your Samsung 49" television, so that we can check the manual, to see if you have to activate any settings.

Have you loaded an image, on your VU+ Solo?
Did you manage to see that displayed on your television?

Samsung support say:
"You need to talk to the VU + Solo providers and update their HDCP protocols."

Is there any way to update this myself?

Will you please answer the questions:
Have you loaded an image yourself?
Do you definitely have the older VU+ Solo, or one of the newer versions?
Which Samsung model do you have?
