VU+Solo Upgrade from 1.7.9 to 2.0.8.1.

Hello everyone!

As the topic says, i have a VU+Solo with version 1.7.9 running pretty well, but i think it's about time to upgrade it to the last version, but i have some questions about it.
The image of version 1.7.9 has more than 47MB, so there's no need to update the bootloader, so my question is, can i upgrade it to the last image version, 2.0.8.1, using the normal usb method, without the need of some extra procedure.
I ask this because from version 1.7.9 to 2.0.8.1 theres a major version change (1->2) and normally it implies some extra effort to make it work.
