vu+uno cannot tune some transponders

Thnak you, I have untar the file in / and reboot the device. I re did the same tests and signal is still a 0% on some transponders.
I think I will have to redo the orientation tuning :-s. Is advise to use the satellite finder of the box than the small handy one?
Or do you recommend to spend 80€ to have a pro to do it?

Did you also replace your satellite.xml with the one in the pack ?

Your signature says you are pointing just at 19.2e to realign one sat is very easy, you can make small adjustments using a simple app on your phone or with a satfinder program on a laptop.

Could I also suggest you try Black Hole Image, make sure you update the software via the FPGA plugin and the download catseye settings from our server.

I don't think the problem is your dish but I may be wrong.

Yes the satellite.xml file was replaced (with the tar zxvf in /).
I am downloading the Blackhole image (1.6.4) as we speak.

As you said that you don't think that the issue comes from the dish, I was wondering if the issue could because of the setup of the antenna (there is one "cable" which is close to the orientation of the dish). I don't know if you can see it from the pict here below.

Will report if better with BH.
With BH, do you need to upgrade with the USB procedure every time there is a new release or you can upgrade directly from the remote without loosing anything?

2 Use software manager to backup
Both work very well, I use the software manager backup and after loading the new image my settings can be loaded straight away, total time to flash a new image and have everything running as it was takes less than 10 minutes.

For some reason, I don't find where to download the cam and the catseye config file. I just installed BH 1.6.4, then I upgraded the FPGA from the web, then reboot, configure the LNB (simple, Astra, no DISEq).
On the SW download center, it tells me there are 4 updates but couldn't figure how to select them to get them installed.
Where should I find the catseye file? Should I first scan and then apply catseye or 1st apply it and then scan?

I did check the satellite manual with 12207V,27500,2/3,8PSK but still no signal.

Ok I found the pb, was that the plugin screen from the menu/parameters did not allow me to go into add on while trhough the green button it worked.

So catseye is installed and now it s scanning.

What is recommended to manage/install cams etc... should I do a manual install or install like with some tools/panels?

Otherwise I can just copy the files in winscp and launch them manually (which I tried quickly) but I had such msgs:

Hello,

Some news. I have been able to install the BH 1.6.4 image, I have then flash with the online FPGA upgrade tool. Then I rebooted, installed the Catseye config file and I performed the scan.

I have exactly the same issue, no signal on some transponders. See below the pictures.

(last pict) Besides for some reason there are some lags sometimes, i think that this maybe be linked to the number of channels provided by catseye file. Last is an example, I have the thinking icon which could last for 10s and usually happens twice in a row.

but anyway let's better concentrate on the signal issue.

i think you have a problem with vertical polarization , if your certain with your settings and still no signal try to change LNB

So far I had only tested on my Duo, tonight I tested on the Uno and I have the same problem.
Both my Duo and Uno are connected to the same lnb but I do notice that signal strength on the Uno is lower.
I need to make some more tests before I make my final conclusion.

@ XabiX when you carry out a complete scan of 19e how many channels are scanned ?
I have only tested my Uno on 28e and it worked but when I test on 13, 16 and 19 I am missing channels, when I check from Duo and the Uno I am down by almost 30% signal strength on all channels.
Tomorrow and I will swap the two box's around to eliminate dish, cable and switches.
Maybe a tuner hardware problem exists.
We will see in the next 24 hours.

In my VU Uno signal is absolutely not less than all other receivers I have.
No problems with any of the above channels , I have not yet found .
But I have almost 40% stronger signal than the specified signal on the 60 cm antenna
is to much a big difference.
The difference that you can not make with a difference in the size of satellite dishes
60cm <>80 cm

So either your SAT installation is not good or SAT receiver is not good.
To find out the only option is the comparison/test on different satellite installation or different/other receiver.
