Hello everybody.

I'm Italian and excuseme for my bad english.

I've a problem. I've buy from VU+ UK store an Dual Twin tuner for my Vu+ UNO.

I've install the decoder ant it perfect recognize from decoder, in the setting i see:

TunerA: Vuplus DVB-S NIM (AVL6222) DVBS-2
TunerB: Vuplus DVB-S NIM (AVL6222) DVBS-2

When i setting the two tuner, i've a problem.

Tuner A it's work very well, but tuner B I've a problem with descramble the signal.

The problem is only with tuner B, i've do a recording of this:

Initially i think the problem is in the image. I've test ot with Black Hole, with de SifTeam Jackal and with the VTI image, but the problem is identically.

Also I think the problem is in the tuner damage, and i've do a refound it from my seller.

When i receive the new tuner, the problem is identically.

I don't understand anythink.

Please can you help me?

Tanks.

First you need to be sure it is with Tuner-B. Change for instance the preference and use Tuner-B instead of Tuner-A for a single channel. Next try if any Free To Air channel works concurrently or not with a single scrambled channel.

Bottom line be aware that many CAM modules are not capable to decrypt 2 channels at the same time.
I ran into a similar problem when changing my standard tuner with a Dual-Tuner. Recordings or PIP would not work or not work smoothly when both channels were scrambled. Problem can be solved obviously and is not a Tuner problem.

thankyou fpr the replay.

Honestly i've test it only with cript channel, I've a TV-Sat card for HD channel and it work with ****.

But the problem don't it this. I've test it in FTA channel and the problem is similar, much less, but the problem is present.

Is possible to have a fix for this problema?

Can you advise me ad solution?

Thanks

You need to read our board rules (point 4).

Sorry, but you are banned for a week.

I have really no idea what could be causing this. I can tell you that it is not normal. An UNO works great with the Dual Tuner with no differences betwen Tuner-A and Tuner-B.
1) Install the latest BH version which implicitly loads the latest drivers
2) Be sure the latest FPGA is loaded in your frontend. This will be v4.5 and is a pre-requisite for Dual Tuner support. Unfortunately I don't know a way to reveal the current version running. Use the FPGA plugin to upgrade.

hi, I have seen the same occurrence and its usually TUNER related. Can you try the same channel using the good tuner? also when you go to FTA take out the card. You should also check the sat leads carefully and make sure a stray wire is not touching the inner core. And if you can change LNB. I have a single tuner for the uno but too far away from you, if you can use a single tuner. Also re-seat the twin tuner ie take it out and put it back in again.

Its a really difficult problem to nail down so keep trying.

Hi everybody.

Thanks very mutch.. I'm HAPPY and Iìve resolev my problem.
I've upgrade the FPGA with last fpga and all work fine.

reguard.

Thanks thanks thanks

Good to hear that it solved your problem. I guess that the upgrade makes the Front End Dual Threading as the code almost doubles in size. It also matches with what is observed when failing to do so.
