v1 = Zydas chipset (should be supported)
v2 = Atheros (ath9k_htc, should be supported too)
 
Hi there Team.
I would like to inform about a bug in cifs management.

1) creating a cif connection to a Windows 7 share, OK
2) using the share is OK until some hours
3) after 2/3 hours, cif becomes useless, no more connection, trying to access its mountpoint comes in firmware hangs (animated icon loop) or shell completely blocked in tty session

I would like to test
1) if standby mode in Windows 7 could intefere with cif mountpoint
2) if, as suggested, "VU+ Plugin ClearMem" could resolve the problem

I'm using 1.7.9 on a SOLO.

Hi everyone,

i'am a total noob a this so i hope someone will be able to help me.

I wasn't able to connect my solo with DCC so i decided to flash it with BH 1.7.9 and star all over again to put new files in it.

But when i finished the flashing of the solo (green light flashing), my TV screen keeps being black, nothing happens...

i quite hopeless on this one... Like i said, i know nothing and i don't know what to do anymore...

What is the previous image you have on the box?
Have you updated the Solo CFE before flash the latest BH?

If you want to use any share that share must be available for receiver all the time.
It's not "hot swap" like some of the other usb/sata devices

just simple question - if you press menu button can you see anything on the screen?
If yes, you need to load channel list... :)

I think network cif should be up while network mount asks for him... not meanwhile!!!
Really can't think a standby could brake an inactive/passive connection and hangs decoder :-|
Sounds strange........!!!!!!!
 
that's the way it's working with my receiver. I need to restart receiver after switching off and on my windows machine to use cifs again or turn vu on after windows is fully loaded. My vu doesn't like cifs for some reason.
Do not have this problem with nfs.

The device should be already supported. I can verify with my DWA-125 this evening @ home.

Thank you for trying to help
I don't remenber what was the old version that i used before i flashed my solo
But i used an much older version of BH and it went fine. So everything working fine now and i'm so noob at this that i think i'll keep this version.
But just to be smarter than yesterday, how can you do to " update the Solo CFE" like you said?
and what is a CFE...?

I had absolutly nothing on screen.
th vu solo had the green light but nothing worked on the remote. I wasn't even able to switch off the receiver.
But We an older version of BH, it working now.

Hello ive just got my vu+solo its all up and running with 1.79 i would like to put the icefilms plugin in it could some tell me which one i need as i see there seems to be some different ones depending on age of image.

Currently I have version 1.7.9 on my newly bought Vuo+ Solo, can I upgrade or update this image to version 2.0.0 or higher.
