Solo 4K Exclusively for VU + community from Anga Cable

Thank God there is no Scart connection :thankyou: No fan at the back but hopefully better ventilation through the top cover. I do also like that 2.5" HDD slot at the back.
It looks it's taller and narrower comparing to Duo2. What are the dimensions of this box, anyone knows?
Hope, if there will be Duo2 2nd generation it will look better then this one.
There won't be a Duo2 2nd generation.

The next flagship box will surely be an Ultimo2 or Duo3.
The curious thing is that it has been called Solo: since there are 2 4K sat tuners and there is a slot for another dual tuner (2xS2 or 2xT2/C),
I'd expect to be more like a Duo...

If the Solo 4k is there entry level into 4k, then the next "flagship" box will be insane :D

Not wearing rear fan, true, but not take the integrated source is external 12 volt 5Amp., More input switch is to the right of the RS232 port (format RJ11 / RJ14)

Report tuners (DVB-S2) have no problem to tune 4K channels receptor is normal that we do not understand the information (codec UHD / HEVC).

4K offers 4,096 x 2,160 pixels
UHD offers 3,840 x 2,160

1 who I Played with these channels and perform recordings on the hard disk then I see a powerful PC with MPC-HC.

With VU + DUO2 and a DreamBox800S-HD.

The UHD 2 devices do not support these channels and see them as data, but with the DreamBoxEdit become a TV channel, you send them to the receiver and can tune smoothly as TV channels.

More information in Spanish, in this post, but the photos are well understood.
You want to play with the new 4K satellite broadcasts. ?? as. ?? This is your post. 26/08/2014

-----------------------

Forget old tuners.

FBC Tuner : Full Band Capture Tuner.

One Full-Band Capture Digital Tuner can service any number of demodulators.
Each demodulator can access any frequency without restriction or relationship to other channels.

The cutting-edge technology of Dual FBC Tuner enables you to enjoy with variety channels up to 8 DVB-S2 signals.

These are technical specifications
First information, of course, they may be subject to changes,
(we do not know.)

Surely that would require a non-standard LNB then.

I have not studied existing standard LNB bandwidth
it is possible that this will demand a different LNB Ultra wide LNB
or maybe not.

Normally speaking the existing LNB probably have a much greater bandwidth than is required
for analog/digital reception we use now.
Narrowing of reception is done mainly by filters in the receiver.

But in short I looked on the net
and we see the development of new types of LNB as well as new components for this use.

But a normal LNB is controlled by the tuner (Hi/Lo-freq & Hor/Ver-pol). So that will never cover the full transponder as (apparently) required by an FBC-tuner.

I think the same but let's wait for box.
I do not have any information regarding the type of LNB.

At the AngaCom they have said that Unicable or Jess is needed, if you do want to use eight DVB-S2 signals for the FBC Tuner at once. With Unicable/SCR/SatCR [EN50494] the box will use all possible 8 Userbands and only one Koax-cable is needed to do so. It is also possible to use Jess/SCD2/Unicable2 [EN50607], where 8 of the 32 possilbe userbands will be needed, again all over one cable.

Thanks for very good information, something like that I also imagined
I also believe in the newcomer types of LNBs that will be different from the existing ones.

Inverto for example showed samples of new Unicable2 LNB's at the AngaCom; those will support 24 or 32 Userbands over one cable.
