BH 2.0.9 and AS Telestick 2 usb DVB-T adapter issues.

Hello,

I just installed the 2.0.9 BH image on my Vu+ Duo box. Everything great, apart from the AS Telestick 2 (DVB-T) usb adapter.
I use this to see digital terrestrial TV channels, but more often than not I see low signal (approx. 30%), pixelation on screen, color issues etc. If I shutdown the box and I reboot, most of the time it functions properly (no artifacts, signal strenght 65% ) for a few days.
Do you think is a driver issue or has something to do with the Standby/wakeup function of the box ?

Thank you!

How many USB devices do you have connected to your box?

Just one, on a usb port at the back of the VU+ Duo.

HanSolo.

Very strange issue ... usually this happen when the USB DVB device don't get sufficient power to work correctly from the USB port.
If you can, you should try with an externa powered hub USB to avoid power problems.

I just tried with a powered, externel usb hub connected to one of the rear usb ports of my Duo. Now the problem is even more apparent, with a lot of bit errors as well...

Wow! It's a mistery! Usually the usage of an hub USB powered decreases the erorrs .....
I will test your box with another device who uses the same driver.
Your country/area is full digital or you have some analogue TV system on the air?

Hello,

Athens/Greece is not fully digital, still has analoque signals, but my external antenna is positioned towards a digital only source.
I see that the issue arises sometimes, after waking up the box from standby (not deep standby). Is there any possibility the powersaving mode to corrupt the dvb-T driver???

Powersave is not enabled in the DVB USB section of the image .... I'll try to reproduce your issue with my hardware and USB DVB-T dongles who uses the same driver.

Good morning.

Any news on the issue???
Is it possible the AS Telestick DTT has hardware issues???

Ok your device works regularly.
I'll check the driver ASAP with another device who uses the same driver.
That would be great... I am not able to watch digital terrestrial channels for sometime now...Thanks!
I saw that after waking up my Vu+ Dup box, the dtt signal is low (approx 15%) but after 30-40 seconds goes up to 65%. Unfortunately it's not stable.

Good evening.

Is there any possibility the problem is antenna-related and not an issue with the usb stick ? All my other TVs though, have no issue with the reception...

I haven't made tests becuase my daily work take me a lot of time.
Today I'm at home (rest day) and I can make some tests.
Good evening,

Just as an add-on info, here's "/usr/bin/usbtuner -V" result: UsbTuner v0.3.12.

What I noticed today, is that suddenly my frequencies area in the Tuner was reset from Central Europe to Australia - DVB-T. Accordingly, some TV channels failed to display with "SID not in PAT" error.

Any coclusions???

Thank you.
