Maybe it's not the better thread for ask about that but i am compiling an vusolo4k image and i am looking for the devshell, i tried with the command bitbake devshell but i got an error ERROR: Nothing PROVIDES 'devshell'.
The devshell is not avaible? I want to compile some c++ lines, how can i do that?

Usually I build a simple package via bitbake to get GCC utilities and next generate myself the .bb file for OE or use directly the gcc utils :)
 
Hi guys, super image thanks for hard work.

I have configured my image which has taken a lot of time but during this process xbmc has now stopped loading up.

My question is is it possible to re-install xbmc manually as I dont really wanna re-flash

Your right something is wrong, I installed 2 other ipk just before it went wrong, since then I have had other things that need the Internet from the box not working correctly.
Can't try a re flash yet till the Mrs goes to bed.
 
Other problem.... (5 time flashed!!!).
If receiver go ONLY in standby, everything is perfect.
IF I made restart, I loose my tuner configuration!!!!
(Tuner A copied tuner B, tuner B with Disecq, A/B/C/D, four satellites).

Not sure what you are doing wrong, but i've flashed my box atleast 30 times and rebooted countless times in the last few weeks and never come across this issue (with any image).
 
I use VU+ since was born and never had this problems...
(and configured a LOT for my friends...)
To restore the functionality I must play with the configuration of these tuners: change to non configured, equal to A or B.... and, after some modification turn to initial status: Tuner A cloned by tuner B [not equal] and Tuner B with Disecq A/B/C/D...
DVB-T work without problem...
Strange, when doesn't work, it seems like the are not signal, on display B (tuner) is RED, without signal...

What do you mean Tuner A cloned by tuner B [not equal] and Tuner B with Disecq A/B/C/D...

I have a rotor and made a 100 times restarts/reboot/enigma restarts no problem.

Do you have also some problem with network? When i upload a movie the speed transfer begin at 30Mb's and after a few second he stop and it pass at 20'Mb's he stop again and pass at 10Mb's and after i still at 10Mb's but with a lot of few second freezes.
I got the same problem with official and vti image. Maybe it's a problem of driver.

I use a wired network,
I have not noticed.

Hi,

Sorry but i don't know how to make bb file. What do you mean about ggc utils? Why the devshell is not avaible?
Can you provide me an how to please.

Tested this now and for some reason on reboot (not every time) DNS resets to zero???
Enter a DNS and everything pings back to life.
Ps I have dchp disabled.
