Dear user,
to help you we need the serial output when the box startup and load image from flash.
You need a nullmodem serial cable, a terminal emulation program like Hypterminal or Minicom. Setup serial port as 115200,8,n,1, connect and report here text output.

the thing is that i went back to the beta 1 and the ultimo works.... is just a problem of the beta 2....i will wait when is something new or maybe tomorrow i will try again.....

If you have a problem who the Coder (who HAS the box) has not detected, I think you should do all the possible thing to solve the problem.
About serial console, it's too simple and other people who haven't used it before, has reported all the output requested.

You need:
1. nullmodem cable
2. Hypterterminal (Windows) / Minicom (Linux)

Procedure:
1. connect the serial cable between PC and box
2. start communication program (Hypterterminal / Minicom)
3. start a new connection on serial port (connection parameters: 115200, 8, n, 1)
4. turn ON box

If all it's done correctly you should see on the PC display a lot of text: this is the text we need.
Post it, please.

hi again.. i normally never write much here, i just read and learn..but after i changes from duo to ultimo, i need it to check with you guys some questions...

i have not idea the reason , but a lost signal in some channels from astra and hotbird.. in astra like pro7 hd, sat1 hd, sixx hd and some other like sky cinema (sky italia) or hbo hd on (cyfra+) hotbird....the question is thats happening from turner B (astra-hotbird) because on my turner A (MOTOR) i have signal..what i notice is that i have low signal in most of the astra and hotbird channels that before with my duo, when i changed on friday...

some other guys have the same problem or have notice less signals, just asking because where are still in beta image.. or maybe wil be my dish after a windy two day long.

It's not an image issue.
Follow instructions on post #5 of this thread to report infos about your box. Without infos it's IMPOSSIBLE to help you correctly.

Update:
you have not read Board rules. Another post like your who talk about some TV providers who is impossible to view on other box than the ones given by TV Operator and you are OUT.

It is not an image feature, it is a SKIN fetaure.
WHen BH skinners will have ultimo they will make skins for it.

wifi usb dongle vu+ and AP is HTC TD2.WLAN see ok at menu,scan AP found HTC,but not connect...Key at HTC and wlan is same....This issue have too VIX 2.3 released yestarday...
Other security like WPA and WPA2 can not test,HTC support only WEP at wifi router app.

I haven't tested WEP on boxes... I have already used WPA or WPA2 ... I suggest to change your router/AP. Wep is very bad encryption for wireless networks.
I will recover my old Netgear router and I will make some tests with it ....

I too had a few issue's getting wifi dongle working propperly.

Spent a couple of hours messing with both BH and VIX images.

Eventually it all worked fine (using wpa2 btw) and the problem seems to be with nameserver setting.

However after it was all working fine, for some reason I noticed my ultimo was using alot of bandwidth via wifi, so I have now disconnected it and used lan instead (faster, more stable and less bandwidth used).
