i updated the driver just now
and i wrote a microscopic script for backup (in /hdd/backup) and install the new driver for the 3.1 kernel images
in the hope can be usefull to someone
for update the drivers is enough copy they in the /tmp folder then execute the script (green then blue)
it show "the driver building date/time" for allow to understand if the driver are successfully changed or not
remember to restart the box after the new driver installation
ciao
did the /etc/bhmachine contains exacly:
bm750 for the duo (this one is ok)
vuuno for the uno
vuultimo for the ultimo
vusolo for the solo

if so, this script install only the correct drivers for the box
(install just the vuplus-dvb-modules-[/etc/bhmachine contained file] driver package)

A way to check whether or not the compatible is tasting. You need to back up the old drivers and put the new and the other is the possibility to ask for more experienced users if these drivers are compatible or not and soon you'll get an answer ! Regards.
Many thanks that saves me some more troubles looks like an upgrade will be needed to get the latest drivers then. I just installed the USB Volar Green HD tuner in my box and it is working very good hope it will be OK in the newer image.
Iam a bit lost here I started on the first BH image and jumped to 1.7.3 installed the boot loader Iam now on BH1.7.5 did I miss something on the way of my upgrades should I have updated my drivers first?
Cause Iam getting green screens from time to time and all my USB ports have to be powered to be recognized,
and my DVB-T stick is working great!
Thanks for any advise in advance.
In Blachole 1.7.9.-3 I did that:
"take tar.gz drivers file and unzip all files in
/lib/modules/3.1.6-12/extra
and replace old drivers"
BUT , I noticed that there is a group of 4 identical pack of drivers on the root of my image. The only difference is that they have a different date. They are characterized as 10 -1 -2013 although i have flash the Vu+Solo2 four times since that day and i have update the drivers manualy yesterday. (I extracted the 4 drivers pack inside " /lib/modules/3.1.6-12/extra").
Is it normal?
Do I have to DELETE this files on root?
Do I have to replace them also with the new drivers?
Has that anything to do with the fact that my Vu+Solo2 stuck on reboot?
I am using Blachole 1.7.9.-3 with one universe on a usb.

And when you power off, wait at least a minute before turning it on (not only for drivers update, but also after reflash, image update and so on).
It will saves you from a lot of headaches (verified especially on my Vu+Duo, on Solo2 too).
