How to made Personal Backup and Full Backup.

BTW, if you are still interested in a solution... have you tried watching and recording at the same time 2 completely free channels (not encrypted)?

I have a VU+ solo and bought a second receiver (VU+ solo se). I would like to copy the Bouquets I have in the Solo to the Solo SE. Can i do that by doing a Personal backup on the Solo and then restoring on the SE? Is there an easier way?

It's easier to save the *.tv files from the old receiver on your PC and then copy the files back to the new receiver.
Personal backup can't be used between 2 different models.

I see that Personall Backup does not initiate any missed packages/plugins/addons/skins installations after restoration even from default repositories? It just restores configuration files of them. So after every update the user must again install all addons/packages (like samba, ftp...) manually which are not included in default image. Am I right?
So after every version upgrade I must spend 1 hour on downloading and installing to the box my configured plugins, HD skins etc...

BH Personal Backup doesn't generally save external plugins or extensions, I mean what the user has installed from the feeds or manually, downloaded skins included.

The reason is that it's nearly impossible for the Personal Backup to know how many modifications (and where) have been added to the system by user installations, and therefore to save and then correctly restore all these modifications, considering also that restoring these modifications could possibly cause conflicts and instability of the new image.
So it's a user's responsibility to reinstall his previously downloaded addons, skins, etc.
 
Hi there

When making a full backup on my duo2 at some point console shows a message like - some files couldn't be copied due the system lock - "trying to get it from internet"
It actually couldn't download anything cause I was offline, but the image was created.
What this mean? Could be some system files missing on the created backup image?

i have duo2. i made my full backup, but when i flash my receiver with this full backup file, i can restore setting but without plugins, picons.....
how can i do to restore setting and plugins

Picons are generally stored on an external USB pendrive that is not backed up in the Full Backup.
Similarly, everything else stored on a pendrive will not be saved, only the content of the flash.
