OpenBH 4.2 Vu+ Solo2

Does the previous configuration backup can be restored on the new image?

You can save your settings using the appropriate tools, but unfortunately is not possible to restore only the settings backup.

Note: Of course, if you are asking about restoring a settings backup from the previous image version as p.e. 4.1.035.

best regards

Yes, I'm asking just about settings backup from the previous image version 4.1.035.
Thank U the same

You can actually open the backup with something like 7zip, edit the file in tmp called backupimageversion and change from 4.1 to 4.2 then save it and add it to the tar.gz

Then it will restore your settings, but it's better to just start fresh tbh.

I think this image must also be Fixed DVB Subtitles issue on some channels
because lately too much subtitling is lost...

Just switched from BH to OBH.

I'm missing the sleep timer. In BH it was available in the menu as well as I could set it up using DreamDroid on my smartphone...

How can I disable the "screensaver" in radio mode?

How can I disable the "screensaver" in radio mode?

Check MENU > Timers > PowerTimers.

For "Screensaver" in radio mode:

Menu > Setup > User Interface > Settings ... drop down on the list and disable screensaver.

Thanks. The screen saver thing I found out by myself.

What bugs me is that the sleep timer can't be set with DreamDroid (smartphone) anymore... Worked so well...

Sorry for bothering you. Still have some proplems switching from BH to OBH...

Setting a timer for "switch to..." wakes up the box if it was in standby mode. When the timer ends, the box goes 3 minutes later back to standby. Tried all options - how do I prevent the box from going into standby again?

Using BH with the WebIF I could click on the disk symbol to download recordings. With OBH nothing happens. The download is listed in the browser's list, but nothing happens...

By "switch to", do you mean "zap & record"? If so, it's strange to set timer for standby in this mode (it's already strange in general, but really occasionally I did it, too).

It works for me, at least by Solo4K. I don't think is different for your model.

I mean just "zap" (my language setting is German, so I choose the wrong term). W/o recording.

I wanto to listen to an hour news program at 6pm.

If the box is on it zaps to that channel and everything is fine. But if it's in standby it wakes up. But I want the box not to return to standby after the timer is finnished (plus 3 minutes - haven't checked if there's a question on screen - usually my telly is off when listening to radio while the signal is directed to home cinema device). I want to remain it on...

I've almost never used a simple "zap" timer, surely not in the early morning but in OBH there is a parameter under HDMI-CEC plugin (whom I cannot check right now, but it's the last one or one of the last) exactly concerning switching on TV or not in case of zap timers. Maybe it might help...

Can you make system info screen similar to BH screen, with gauge indicators ( various clocks) ? OBH screen is not nice at all.

Thank you for 4.2, runs in flash here, VTI 14 via OMB, both working good until now. Had a few problems with the mountpoints in VTI at the beginning (3 external HDD's and 2 USB-Sticks), but I think it is solved now.

@korret
