Review Vu+ Solo2 By Black Hole

One more question please.
I have taken a quick look at features.
An internal 2.5" HDD can be fixed.
Is an external HDD also compatible, please?
 
On the Web Browser one can have access to the User Manual which could be very helpful
to those who have not already had a Vu+ Receiver.
Is this also available to download and view before one gets the Receiver?

now is a pleasure to work with such a machine.

When I saw how quickly he picked up the EPG with all providers
and converted to Epg dat everything was clear to me.
That speed shows yet unseen features
that would certainly be exploited in the near future.
But as I said, now it is a pleasure to use existing possibilities,
which this machine executes very elegant and stable.
Listening to each push of a button on remote and how quickly and effectively.
The same goes for wireless hi speed rec and play on my Network HDD
, wired I have not tested it must be more impressive.
Simply everything works as we waited for a long long time.
 
The review didnt mention anything about the picture quality!!..there were rumours about drivers of Solo2 with its new processor

i know it is too early, but it would be really nice if u had a SD,HD comparison between Solo2 and its brothers and sisters Uno and Duo :)
 
To be honest I do not watch anymore SD
and I can not bring you some sort of review on SD
but the HD quality is simply superb
and only depends on the quality of the video signal from the satellite.
I do not think you can get better.
But we see great activity in VU+ with the new box and processor
Who knows what they can extract more from this box.

Me too i have never seen new gaming console without good line up :D . Thank you Mr Matrix10 for your understanding Permanent , I'm gonna wait some time before switch to this new baby.

i understand your point, but u know there is always a need to watch SD channels
anyway i like the impression you had...seems promising PQ
hearing that Vu+ pays early attention to its boxes is nice to hear

i think the Solo2 feedback wold be very useful for them before releasing their new flagship the Duo2 :)
 
I not like to comment for SD because I do not watch SD TV
For me it's all bad compared to HD.
I saw some German channels on Astra
And it seems oK,but I've seen some with poor images no matter which receiver I used.
But no matter what I'm sure VU+ will make a maximum for SD and HD
or has already done .
 
About picture quality, graphic engine and transoding functions you should know that this new broadcom generation is absolutely much better than all the past linux based receivers,
But you have to understand that because this is a NEW chipset generation, Vu+ engineers are working with broadcomm support to develop drivers and all the power of graphics acceleration.
So we will see in the near future big progress with the drivers work and develop.
All that is already good in Solo2 will be better and better.
 
thanks have u tested its tuner and signal strength how much it is better than vu+ uno ultimo duo solo ??? because tuner should be good for fringe reception in this model

Yes it has been tested, the Solo2 shows a higher signal using the same dish and lnb than I see on my Ultimo, also on some satellites using the same dish and lnb, and the same satellite.xml file I can receive more services with the Solo2 than I do with the Ultimo.

The above was also confirmed with the Uno when tested, and the review was written :)
