vu uno tuner problem

hi i have tuner problem after installed bh17.9 on vu uno if someone help me thank

What did you have before bh179 ? if it was an old image, you must upgrade FPGA.

yes its a old image 1.7.5 but even upgrade fpga its still the same dummy tuner not supported soetime if the restart the box they detect the tuner but they can scan any frquence

Well a failure is always possible, but may be your tuner is just not properly setup.....

Tell us what is your installation : kind of dish (fixed or motorised), number of lnb, disecq, which sat do you want to receive; and how did you setup the tuner.

Then we can help you.

Also double check if your antenna cable is properly mounted into the connector.....
If the tuner is not detected, remove the cover of your vuplus, remove the screw of the tuner, unplug and re-plug the tuner.

Please report here the revision and the production date writed directly on the Uno tuner.

thank for your reply i think the problem is the software because if i put the bh1.7.5 image all work perfectly if i put the bh17.9 same problem again i have this message dummy tuner or tuner not supported

You haven't answered to my question: please post tuner details here.
My question is too simple: I've experienced similar problems with my Uno and Ultimo: before post a definitive reply I need to know what is your tuner revision and production date.

My friend, open your box, report here the strings reported on your tuner phisically. Only these infos are useful, sorry.

Uhm ....
On the tuner there should be some strings like this one:

Vu Plus FRONTEND
DVB-S2 V0.5 2011.03.15

These infos are useful and clarify what kind of tuner you have on your box.

These strings are reported on the back of tuner respect of "Erit" metal plane.

thank niglo its not in the installation because all work perfectly on bh175 image only the the up image like 1.7.6 to 1.79 bh have this problem

Without tuner revision and production date it's quite impossible to determine if the problem is the tuner, the box or other components.
The only thing I'm sure: the software is not a problem.

Hi, I am experiencing a very similar problem with my brand new vu+ uno...
I have a fixed installation with 4 LNB (only two working...)
2 cables exit from each LNB and enter in a small box at the bottom of the dish.
From this box 2 cables enter my house so that I have w sockets.

With the software bundled and with the last BH, the vu+ uno correctly sees two satellites
Astra 19 at about 75%
Hotbird 16 at about 85%

I am only able to see a few channels FTA on Astra (BBC a few others)
and just one on Hotbird (moreover I waited on channel RAI1 with a black screen and than an image appears once in a while with the signal bouncing forth and back from 40% to 80%)

I did everything I knew...
- download the automatic channels list
- automatic scan
- manual scan
- upgraded FPGA
- installed vhannibal dual feeds

Has someone experienced the same problem?
I am starting to think that maybe the tuner is broken...

1. It is Hotbird 13.0E (not 16)
2. On Astra 19.2E is one BBC and on Hotbird 13.0E is more BBC => bad assigned sattelites -> you have to swap Astra<->Hotbird

I configured the tuner inputing:

simple Toneburst Astra19.2E-Hotbird13.0E.

I do not see any Astra 19.2E channels BUT I see all the channels of Hotbird 13.0E !!!

Maybe the problem is with the LNBs or the switch... or it is just the configuration...

Do you have any suggestions? Thank you so much for you help!!!

Use plugin Blind Scan. Try read some tutorials first!! Search internet, there is many tutorials and videotutorials also "for dummies". Good Luck!
