In my opinion, the end of satellite TV is coming.
The future is stream.
Sky UK has announced that from 2028 premium channels will only be available via stream.
VU+ has not released any new set-top box for a long time.

I personally have been using OBH for more than three years.
Before that, I tried BH and others like OpenATV.
However, OBH is, in my opinion, the leader among the VU+ software.

And, in my opinion, streaming is the death of TV. The quality, the reliability, the charming of real TV broadcasting is thousands times further of streaming.
Not to mention the chance of recording in perfect quality the events you like.
Young people press for streaming but I won't never buy anything from streaming services.
And maybe sat is dead but, in my use, thanks to SCR LNBs, I don't even use the DVB-T versions of channels but only the sat ones because it's possible to use many boxes in the house with a single SCR LNB.

Vu has not released new box because the company was in crisis. Vu is dead.

Do you think the entire inhabited earth's surface will be covered with fiber?

This ad from Sky UK where is it?

I wish I always have satellite TV... delay on IPTV is a lot!

Virtually the entire world is covered with fibre optics.
But that is not the point.
We have 5G becoming more widespread - in China they are testing 6G.
In five years' time, 5G will be as widespread as 4G is today.
And yet it is definitely a game changer.

I had exactly the same opinion.
Especially in the situation of football or ice hockey broadcasts.
Where the streaming service was simply glitchy.
But, I watched the Premier League broadcast via Amazon Prime (Amazon has the broadcasting rights to several matches) and I'll say quite frankly: I can't see any difference in the quality of the satellite broadcast and that of the Amazon service!
It seems to me that it depends on the bitrate capacity with which the service can send the signal.
During the 2018 World Cup in Russia, the BBC broadcast matches online in 4K quality. But the stream was limited to 1200 viewers (first come, first served). There was a delay of about 1 sec but the quality was really OK.
In conclusion.
More and more internet, 5G, 6G and beyond. It will change our world, it will change the way TV streaming is done.

You are unaware of reality...

I will give you an example: the interior migration of the interior of a country to its coast, as is the case of Portugal.

Or, by many countries (Portugal, Spain, France ...) that needs the satellite to be able to reach the public television service to many of the citizens.

The fiber will never arrive or not to compensate for the investment, such as 5G....

P.s. comportati bene che al primo post polemico contro un admin vieni bannato anche qui. Non ci piace come ti sei comportato in obh.

Hello
I have a vu+ duo 4 k, with a blackhole 3.1.0.
I see that blackhole no longer evolves.
do you have information about an upgrade of the blackhole version for 2023? or should I already think about migrating?
