Duo2 LCD4Linux lcd display layouts

Hi,

I am trying to get my picons to work on the lcd display.

It keeps coming up as blank.

I am using Open Blackhole 0.1 on a Vu+ Duo2.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Take my file ... unpack it using an unzip tool ... and upload it to your STB using a FTP tool ( DCC, Filezilla, VuCC ) to its location:

/etc/enigma2

It will work

Hi,

I have used your file.

My LCD changes about 10 times but there is no picon displayed on any of them.

Where did you have located your picon files ... my picons are on /media/usb/picon folder ...
Probably you are using the flash memory of your STB and you have it on /usr/share/enigma2/picon .

If this is the case ... reply ... or use your browser to acess lcd4config file ...

And change it according the next screenshot:

Hi,

My picons are in

/media/usb/picon

These are snp picons.

My picon cache path is

/usr/share/enigma2/picon

still no luck in getting the picon on the lcd display but they do work on skin image.

Have you restarted your STB?
Have you your USB pen drive mapped as /media/usb ?

The piconcache is /media/usb/piconcache

Hi yes my usb is mapped as /media/usb/

So if my picons are in /media/usb/picon/

Then the cache will be

/media/usb/picon/piconcache/
or
/media/usb/piconcache/

Firstly, Many thanks to Evo for uploading his LCDconfig.

This may help those having some issues...

1. Copy the file into etc/enigma2 folder. Ideally reboot enigma.

2. LCD4Linux plug-in, ensure LCD4Linux is set to ON and that LCD display is slso set to ON.

3. Whilst in LCD4Linux plugin, press the menu button on your remote and select reload config.

The third step should then see the LCD spring to life. No need to reflash etc etc

Hope that helps.

Thanks

ES
sorry to ask, how to copy this file into etc/enigma2 folder.
thanks

1 - Unzip the lcd4config.zip file to a folder in your PC.

2 - Use an FTP tool to connect your PC to your STB.

Select the unzipped file LCD4CONFIG and upload it from your PC to your STB to:

/etc/enigma2

You can use severall tools for it.

  • VU Control Center ( VuCC )
  • Dreambox Control Center
  • Filezilla
  • Winscp
  • SmartFTP
etc

Great! Works well! Only the information continuous rotation disturbs a bit. Can I stop the rotation on random stage? Can I change the information stage by hand?

Yes ... If you are using my Lcd4config files, i've setted it up to change the possible 9 Lcd's screens every 5 seconds. With your browser you can acess the Lcd4config and set it up as you desire. Or via the plugins browser, drop down until you find Lcd4Linux plugin setup, open it and set it too.

Hello
I have DUO2 with internal HDD.
During recording on HDD, can anyone advice me how to add on LCD.1 remaining or time in progress of recording ?
Anyway, during recording how to set any indication on LCD that shows recording running ?
Thank you.

Take this file:

  • Unzip it
  • By FTP upload it to /etc/enigma2 .... and overwrite the file there.
by telnet execute the follow command:

Code:
killall -9 enigma2
