Hello. This bug can not be solved? It would be interesting to see the signal quality

Greetings

I have got a Siano Nova B (selled in Greece as Crypto Redi PC 100).

I try the smsusb driver but it can't detect the tuner.

This is the log from dmesg

It seems it can't load the firmware. Any hint?

OK, it seems this file "dvb_nova_12mhz_b0.inp" is not available in /lib/firmware. Maybe this is the problem. Where can I get this file?

I followed a suggestion I found on the net to copy sms1xxx-hcw-55xxx-dvbt-01.fw as dvb_nova_12mhz_b0.inp in /lib/firmware and it worked! Thank you! This is a really cheap (22 euros in Greece) dvb-t stick, and also very elegant (really small one). You can update next version of the driver to include a symbolic link of the file, and add it to the list as working! Name: Crypto Redi PC 100.

Thanks for your tests and report.
I will apply your changes at the next release of Siano drivers.

I am attaching firmware files for Siano Nova B as found on the CDROM of the windows driver.

I've updated the driver package with firmware you have posted.
Please test it and report if works properly :)

Works fine, thank you! The only issue is no display of SNR, BER etc. The same stick under Ubuntu 10.10 with kernel 2.6.35 displays SNR,BER with dvbsnoop -s signal
