Reflashing means erasing the flash memory: it's like formatting an HDD and reinstalling the O.S.
What does it mean that you lost your backup? The personal backup? The FullBackup?
A backup can't be lost, it's a copy. Maybe you meant you couldn't import your personal backup?...
But this is normal. What really counts is the bouquet backup and you can do that in many ways. The rest is much better not to reimport, even when possible, but it's better to reconfigure everything.
And, as a good practice, before flashing next time perform a FULL Backup, in order to restore it in case you like or, also, to use it to install the old image in multiboot.

go to serviceaapp and use Exteplayer3 instead of enigma2 player.

I won't never believe that a skin is able to affect audio... Maybe not even unofficial ones, I mean not one downloaded by the addons section.

Then try skin: Army DarkSky (for BH 3.0.7 and up)
I am using it now and sound on YouTube plugin works.

Yes, this is clear. But what was supposed to be the skin that caused issues?

It is a known problem that vu+ need to fix.

Because you must've used a Personal Backup to restore your settings (Personal Backups are often causes of troubles.);
or, other possibility, because you might have deleted this plugin's folder manually, by FTPing in your image.
Check if your
settings
file located in /etc/enigma2, contains any lines regarding this plugin and delete them, in case.
