Black Hole Vu+ Duo 2.0.9

Hi, I'm new to this forum, so if I'm posting this in the wrong section please accept my apologies in advance!

Having never used any BH images before (used VTi, OpenPli for 2 years before now!), I decided to try 2.0.9 on my Vu+ Duo, as this image seems to be to only one available that offers DLNA/UPNP Rendering out of the box, a feature I have been looking for for ages!

All installed fairly painlessly and I removed the vast majority of apps/plugins I didn't need via the BH Speedup menu, enabling the UPNP Renderer, CoolTV, CrossEPG, AutoBouquets and PTS plugins.
Overall I'm very happy with the way the image runs and I'm likely to keep this one in my box for a little while, but for one thing that's driving me literally crazy - the bootup time.

I've just timed it and it is a FULL 8 minutes 40 seconds from switch-on to channel up.
A GUI reboot is 1 minute 30 seconds.

Compared with other images that boot up in a fraction of the time with similar configurations, I feel something is seriously wrong here.
I've tried reflashing 3 times, adding a swap file, removing my USB flash drive (and adding it again) - nothing improves these shocking startup times.
It's even the same rebooting a virgin installation!

Can anyone help me, or is it a case that this image needs more muscle, like the newer Vu+ Solo2 or Duo2 dual core CPUs?
Thanks in advance.

Actually, never mind, I think I've worked it out!

Setting up a new 4GB USB flash drive and mounting it as "universe" has dramatically improved the speed of everything I detailed in my previous post.
Cold boot time is now a much more acceptable 2 minutes and 9 seconds (into Avalon) while an Enigma2 restart is just over 1 minute.

I still have to work out the benefits of having 4 workspaces, but at least it's all running tickety-boo now!

The main benefit is as you have just found out, the flash space is now 4gb instead of a mear 128mb, which means you now have masses of free space.

What's weird is that in order to get the Coherence UPnP Renderer to work, I have to be in the Black Hole "universe", and a cold reboot in this mode still takes over 8 minutes to complete. Booting into any of the others completes in 2 and a bit minutes, but the Renderer does not function. Also the LED display on my duo shows a varying percentage number (91%...95%...93%...etc) instead of the channel number when in any mode other than the original Black Hole.
Is this normal behaviour?

It seems that my joy at having resolved the s-l-o-w boot up time was short lived.
Every subsequent reboot, regardless of which "universe" my box is set to, is back to taking over 8 minutes to complete.
I have not added any new plugins nor have I changed any of the configuration.
Please someone - anyone - help me out!
I'm really liking this image and I don't really want to bail and flash something else.

@mardoka : You have to rescan your Astra 23,5E Skylink provider channels. TP 11934 changed FEC from 2/3 to 3/4 at 25/02/2014 (CT HD in your case)
