Hello guys, I'm having a crisis installing this skin on my solo. I tried to make a swamp file based on a procedure which was posted in this link; (

). plz, see it for yourself.
I'm quite confused. Is there any other way to install this skin without making a swamp file?! For god's sake, plz, someone explain this for me in a plain and simple way. I'm dying to wear this skin on my STB :(

Edit by angelofsky1980: no links to other board please!

I didn't realize that I'm not supposed to put any links in my posts. any way, I sent these codes via telnet;

dd if=/dev/zero of=/media/usb/swapfile bs=1024 count=270336
mkswap /media/usb/swapfile
swapon /media/usb/swapfile
vi /etc/fstab
/media/usb/swapfile swap swap defaults 0 0

In return, I got an irrelevant result, swamp file size was 18MB !!!

Further, In the beginning of this forum, I saw this warning "On older Vu+ with small RAM like Duo1 and Solo1 you have to use SWAP File for full working. For best usage create Swap File 264MB"

Now that you know my problem, how can I solve this issue?

After all, I'm wondering why a beautiful skin like this should require that much free RAM!!! at least, I hope it could be manipulated some how to fit into weaker STBs like mine. Not every one affords to buy a workhorse like solo2.

To create swapfile into BH images you should use the appropriate menu item into Blue Panel (2 x Blue button) and you have the correct swapfile size according to your needs.

Thanks for the tip, but I already did that. When I go into swap file manager menu, I can not change anything! Apparently, I have to hit green button to create such a file. Even when I use ******* v. 7.3, it doesn't work!
FYI, I'm running BH 2.0.8 and I live in Avalon universe:)

Hello amazing skin, thanks for that!

I did some mess up by installing the file via local extension installation, deleted the following files afterwards:
rm -r /usr/share/enigma2/MetrixHD/
rm -r /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/MyMetrixHD/
rm -r /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/MyMetrix/
init 4 && sleep 10 && init 3

Unfortunately I can't re-install anymore, I receive the following error message via terminal installation:
Not downgrading package enigma2-plugin-extensions-openstore-mymetrix on root from 2.0.14.1 to 2.0.14-full

Two questions:
1. What files to remove, seems like I haven't deleted all of them
2. I read inside this forum that the installation is possible via BH Addon Server, I looked it up but can't find the Addon Server (inside plugins??). Can somebody point me please in the right direction or do I need to install something else first?

Thanks a lot and again good job.

@marcel500

You have only removed the files manually, but not the e2 package

Do this

opkg remove enigma2-plugin-extensions-openstore-mymetrix
