Solo2 BH 2.1.6 DVB-T problems

Maybe so but they aren't on mine it seems. I tried reinstalling and got a message saying that 0 packages were removed, installed, updated and a scan still doesn't find anything. Also the drivers aren't in /lib/modules as you would expect.
 
The drivers for USB tuners is working fine, hence why its detected and mounted, what isn't there is the kernel modules themselves for that model of stick itself. I have tried to add them manually as I assumed they were there but obviously weren't. If I can obtain these somehow, either via a different URL or packaged as a ..tgz then I can be on my way to getting it working. I'm guessing once these are loaded, I will be able to scan the stick and obtain channels.
 
I have found the driver is there. I ran this:

root@vusolo2:~# opkg -force-depends install firmware-dvb-usb-af9015

Package firmware-dvb-usb-af9015 (1.0-r0) installed in root is up to date.


I still have no channels though when I scan, any solutions?

Yws I have. It didn't work then and you said you were going to verify at your end. Do you have any results?

I have tried to use the stick elsewhere but the software I have doesn't support it, do you think it could be the DVB chip i the key? Although I have seen reports elsewhere on the internet of the stick being mounted and recognised but not finding any channels on a scan.

I have been trying for almost a month now to get this working. I bought the USB DVB-T stick as I thought it would be plug and play. What driver is needed for a scan to take place? Maybe this is what is missing from the image.

A few weeks ago you said you would test a similar kind of key on your system,. any status updates on this?

The device is registered as MDTV-Reciever in the Tuner list, is this why it's not scanning or is it the generic name for the stick/type of device?
 
I have borrowed a friend's USB DVB-t stick and it mounts and has scanned the channels.

Could it be that the drivers need to be modified in order for my stick to scan properly?
 
hi can anyone help have a vu solo 2 running blackhole image 2.1.7 and want to add dvb-t2/c usb stick dose anyone know how to add it what do i need to install in image thanks
