Is multiple recording supported on this driver (af9015)?

Last night, had 2 scheduled recordings, first one began, continued for 40 minutes, second started, both continued further 4.5 minutes, then recordings stopped, black screen, "No data on transponder".

This is with cheap AF9015 device. Would Avermedia Volar be better, or is it a driver limitation?

I should try to record with 2 AF9015 devices....
I will report ASAP the result of my tests.

Sorry, I wasn't clear.

I want to do 2 (or more) recordings on 1 AF9015 device, in Ireland at the moment all channels are on one mux/frequency. Currently 8 TV (7 MPEG4 SD + 1 MPEG4 HD), 10 radio services.

Can you record 2 or more channels on one tuner?

Yes.
You can record more than 1 channel at the same time.

Thanks for the more clear post. I will make some tests with one AF9015 cheap device and 2 recordings.

OK, so it happened again last night, it doesn't seem to be a recording problem. I was just watching TV on DTT, picture froze, checked other channels, all blank, "No data on transponder".

Had to wait an hour or so before restarting, as I had a recording going on DVB-S. After restart all channels working again. Tuner gets warm, but not really hot.

My device has usb id 15a4:9016

This was with driver 0.3.2. I have updated driver to 0.3.3, I will let you know how I get on. I never noticed this with earlier drivers eg 0.2.6 or 0.2.9.

Also, have seen mention of telnet command "lsusb" on other forum. This doesn't seem to be present in Blackhole? Is it useful, and where could I get it?
