Duo / DuoLE Vu-duo is Dead

For those who ask questions at the end of the thread will this work take the time to read the posts from the beginning of the thread and you will gain the knowledge of what you are asking. hth
 
Thanks to this thread I brought my dead Duo back to life. In my case, the regulator was burned as well. I replaced all 3 capacitors with 330uF/25V and the regulator and Duo works like a charm again :)
 
MY VU SOLO 2 IS DEAD ONLY THE FRONT LED TOUCH SENSITIVE CIRCLES ARE WORKING I EVEN TRIED ANOTHER POWER SUPPLY BUT SAME PROBLEM. I TRIED ALSO TO REMOVE THE VFD BOARD AND REFITTED IT BUT NOTHING. NO FAN IS WORKING NO BOOTING TRIED FLASHING BY USB TRIED BY RS 232 BUT NOTHING. I HEARD THERE IS A CHIP THAT NEEDS TO BE CHANGED ANY HELP ?

Hello,
I got a Vu+ Duo2 stuck in white led. Nothing is displayed at RS232 port.
Do you know if there’s anything like for DUO2: replace C807 220uF 16v with a new 330uF 16v on the motherboard?

I already read this thread but the user was unable to fix it and sent the box for warranty.
My box is out of warranty so I was wondering if Duo2 have some hardware problem as the C807 capacitor mentioned here.
 
Are you sure your receiver is out of warranty?
Have you contacted vuplus, via their website?
Someone mentioned that there is a 2 year warranty, from vuplus, apart from the manufacturers warranty, but I don't know if this is correct.
 
I didn't know about two years warranty. I'll contact them, thank you.
But it seems that this white lead problem in DUO2 is hitting a lot of people. The thread about this problem is popular here.
I would be nice to know if users can fix it using same technique described in this post as the behavior is very similar.
I live in Brazil and its very expensive sending the Box back to EU for warranty. Changing a few electronic components sounds better.

I have just replaced C807 with 330 uF 25v 85C and so far so good. I switched off and on repeatedly no awaiting time to get it boot.Previously, I had to wait 1h then was booting . working 30 mins then cut off to go back to deep sleep. Now my daugther will watch "My little Ponny "series without problem :-)

just working with official image ver 5.0
i download official image ver 5.4 but again not working
i have this question
my receiver is clone or orginal ?
how i diffrence clone and orginal ?

not see chip in show picture
i think my receiver is orginal
but why when i upgrade with any software same as black hole or vix my receiver is hang and not working ?
i upgrade new boot ver 3 but not working
