You may need to build it yourself.
I have no idea about the way to build it. just keep using 1.1.12 while the new version is built and shared on the software update website.
 
24p playback mode in XBMC Media does not work, every movie that is in 23,976 frames/s is played with default 50Hz (TV does not switch to 24Hz) - this makes Prismcube useless for pro video playback - will this be fixed in future?
 
Have done some tests on the PC several days now and I must admit , this "project" should travel long way until it will become a complete product and become
serious competitor of established E2 based receivers !
Based on the latest software release from Marusys , I do not understand how come some members here prognose the "END" of E2 , due to PC functionality ?
I refer to the satellite part of PC , not the media senter . I even didn't find a simple choice of "Multisatellite" scan , the way I usualy do on my Vu+Duo2 HD .
 
card reader is not working (inactive), only CAM modules work - is there any solution for card reader?

Expect that this new model has a satellite part as enigma2
is really great optimism.
But this beginning is good and better than the beginning, which we had
with the Enigma .
You seem to have forgotten the block/crash E box when he encountered channel without signal
not to speak of other bugs.

That there is still a lot to do and develop this I can agree.
Perhaps this is exactly why it is interesting, and we use these linux boxes.

If we all join the development of software and hardware along with XBMC Commune
it will certainly be finished with E2 because there is not much more to the track.
For the last few years we not have seen a lot of innovations.
Of course something that is maximally developed specifically for the SAT part
you can not compare with something that has just started.

As you know Multimedia section is so strong
E2 there can not get even close, not now and certainly not in the future
with more developed HW and SW.

But who uses only and primarily SAT
Of course At the moment,it is better to have solo2 or duo2.
But how it will be in the future.

You are absolutelly right ,
If Black Hole Team will be joined by XBMC community in development of PC's software ,
then things certainly will improve and PC will become a great gear , but right now BH have spoiled us with
exelent support for Vu+ ( E2) models :) , so we expect miracles from Prism Cube !
 
Unfortunately there will be no miracles.
That's what I can tell already.
But I firmly believe that we will have in a few months or year
a far better situation and a good software.
What will this box and probably those who will come
put in the superior position due to far greater possibilities
and strong support not only of the SAT, but also XBMC commune.

Of course at this point is all new
and it is hard to predict further developments.
But PrismCube a nice new toy that will entertain us this year.
 
for me it work perfectly but i would a new skin and i like artic skin but no sucess installing them.
If you need beta tester, i can do it :)

You can not install skin
because it consists of two parts
one for XBMC and the other part of the satellite.
Skins are very large and quite complex ,
certainly in comparison with E2.
For it will take longer.

But I know already some experienced members from XBMC commune
have the box and I believe that in the future will be more skins,
from XBMC authors and SAT commune authors.

I take this opportunity to invite them to support our future image.

For beta Im sorry for now I think we have enough members.
 
I will be very grateful for any tips to solve the following issues:
1. when i watch sat the side parts of the screen cutted a little bit ,prismecube set to 1080p output , but when i am trying to calibrate the screen, xbmc shows resolution 1280*720 in calibration mode but the tv shows input 1080p.
2. i have a video delay (sat, youtube), even if i set the audio delay to maximum (250ms) it is not enough to sync between the sound and the picture.
3. the system freezes a lot , especially when i put it to sleep for a few hours, i cant turn it on (wake it up from sleep) by pressing a button on the remote, the led on prismcube blinking but nothing happen. so i need unplug it and plug it back to turn it on.
4. the fan set to automatic mode but it working at full rpm all the time even in sleep mode.
5. the network performance very slow , i cant play smoothly Blue-ray remux files over the network without lags , i tryed to copy a file from another pc using file manager and the результат was 4MB/s , compared to other (htpc with openelec) system i used before prismcube that was conected to the same wire and the speed was 35-40MB/s then.
6.cant find HDMI-CEC setting.

prismcube settings:
dolby audio - on
audio hdmi - spdif format
audio delay - 250ms

video output - hdmi
hdmi format - 1080p
tv screen format - normal pillarbox
hdmi color space - yuv

deep standby - off
fan control - automatic
prismcube with internal 500gb hdd conected to LG55LM860V with hdmi cable
