Hi Guys

Glad to be back. I was away for a while and now back. I had BH 1.6.6 on flash and also on USB (Multiboot). Now I have installed the latest 1.7 in flash and want to install same on USB (Multiboot). How do I do that. Is it the same procedure - using DCC - FTP - media - usb - MbootM and then sent the USB Folder or the Zip file?

Tks for the assistance.

You have to upload the zip file.

Angelofsky1980: does this image work with
USB TUNER IT9135 ALFATECH?

Thanks
It's in my TODO list. I've ported the AF9035 driver yesterday night ...
With new kernel we can use newest drivers for your IT9135 devices ... but I need some time to test the compile process ...
when they are ready I will post into USB Tuner section and you can make some tests :)

An affirmation like this one have to be confirmed or denied with facts to be sure, this is a important question.

So far, only by this board, the image has been downloaded more than 1200 times and you can check how many people has reported this problem.

Hi
Running ViX2.3. All fine.
Tried to install BH1.7 first flashing http://archive.vuplus.com/image/2011/6.0/duo_cfe_3_0_usb.zip . The bootloader flashed and the front panel said "remove USB and reboot". Great. Downloaded BH1.7 from this thread, extracted the vuplus to a FAT32 formatted USB (same as Vix procedure). Inserted the stick in the front USB port. Rebooted, progamming occured, rebooted when instructed (front panel). But after reboot the front panel just says "Starting" , no TV picture and box just stuck on "Starting..." . Left the box for half an hour. No change. What is wrong?

Thanks

Thanks Mito, I think like you, but other members who read this thread, before test the new 1.7.0 BH image, may not think like us, so, that affirmation that I quoted in my last post must be denied.

It's very very strange.
Re-format your USB stick and retry .....

Yes, but you not took out the USB stick.

LCD writes "remove USB and reboot".
Without the USB stick your can make the boot/reboot
If not then this is another problem

If you like to use Multiboot

Your box has a problem (old problem) with the USB stick

3.make a flash image
4.When finished remove the USB

So you did. SORRY.
Not sure what Meoboot is , or why I need it , other images do not require this amount of effort. I simply copy a vuplus folder to a formatted USB and the image is flashed and the box works fine. Images used: Vix , Vti , Nemsis and BKP . None of them need MeoBoot. What is MeoBoot and why do i need it? thank you for your help.

Meoboot it's a easy and intuitive tool/plugin to install images in USB stick (multiboot), so, you just need Meoboot to install a image in USB stick, you don't need Meoboot to install a image in flash.

Ok, thank you for the explanation. I understand now. But if I want to install BH into flash then I do not need Meoboot , correct ?
If correct, then why am I unable to install BH using the normal flash from usb method?
I do not really want to boot from USB, I want to boot from flash.
Ideas?

Right, if you want to install a image in flash is the same method than any other image. Turn off back power button, wait at least 15 seconds and then turn on, if you keep having the same issue flash the image again.

Yes my friend MX, if is flashed again he have to do that way, but I don't know if he turn off/on again after first install, same times don't need flash again, just need turn off/on the back button once again when the "starting" message keep on display.
