Black Hole Vu+ Solo2 v. 2.0.4

IS possible in this version to play .mkv with not embedded subtitles?. I have all subtitles in .srt files but it d0esn't work in previous versions.

SRT subtitles are always working.
MKV and SRT must have the same filename except the extension of course and they can be selected (or auto-selected if the language is detected) with Media Player.
 
auch online update möglich ?

wahrscheinlich steht es irgendwo, habs überlesen

ist ein online update von 2.0.3 nach 2.0.4 möglich ???

(oder muß per usb geflasht werden ????)

To install 2.0.4: fresh install from USB flash disk.

I use the Enhanced Movie Center which d0esn't reproduce external subtitles i think.

We need to improve the Media Player, it would be great!

BH Media Player is the standard one used into VuPlus images.
Other Teams who uses other code base, uses other Media Player version/coding.

I am currently on BlackHole 1.7.9 and do have a PC Backup on Bouquet plus full & Personal Backup on my Solo2.
I don't have too much experience and Solo2 is my first Linux receiver and BH 1.7.9 my first BH image.

What is the best way for me to upgrade from 1.7.9 to 2.0.4?

I think best will be create all from begined becouse personal backup from 1.7.9 no will be work good on last version image BH 2.0.4.
Becouse was alot changes in image and last image is based on OE 2.0 ; image 1.7.9 is based OE 1.6 .

Try upload new imge on box and setup all whot you can next create personal backup he will be usful in next version image BH.

Looks like old meoboot also won't be helpful. Do I need to format the flash to install it from the scratch?

I think you mast only put new image to usb and next put this usb to box after this image will be installed on flash and old image will be erased.
Please look to "how to" section you find five helpfull topic about install image on box and others.

But I have DYI ambilight, and I love it, have you tested/seen philips ??
BTW you can g**gle "led undercar lightnings kit" and find some stuff for your UMM.

Can you tell me which improvements did you saw on subtitles?
For me that is the most important issue of BH images. About the rest, all seems perfect :)

Do you use Arduino for that?
I'm thinking to build something like that too, but it seems a bit expensive... :S
