Black Hole Vu+ Uno 1.7.2 (media-tree)

I did not post it as BlackHole bugs. I posted as a general observation. You can spread the word to VU+ team so they can implement them in the future.

I understood it :D
But if you want to report a bug o to suggest the implementation of some feature, you can use the Vu+ General section.

Autoresolution doesn't work, like it should, for me since ive upgraded from 1.7.0 version.
When i turn on Autoresolution network freezes after few secs and i can watch only FTA channels.

I have to add to my post that i can watch HD channels also, but when i turn back to SD channel(i set to 576p cuz my tv doesnt support 576i)
it work only for a few seconds.

I think you have to check your autoresolution settings.
Try to set all it's options on default.

I just checked, autoresolution is working fine.
It's problem only with 576p(on non FTA channels) when i set it as default resolution in A/V Settings also.

I have official UPC CW card in reader. In BH 1.6.6 working everything fine for me ...... I installed 1.7.2 and when I switching between channels sometimes no audio sometimes no video. When I restarting card reader everything working fine. Can anybody help me ?

PS: I have installed last FPGA 4.4

It's something with network. When i use original vu+ wifi usb dongle i have this problem with new image...
Now when im using d-link dwl-g122 i don't have problems with resolutions.... i have now and had before with 1.70 image some strange net problems, but that's for another topic.

Hello,
i had some issue with my blackhole image ( with heater fire and water, dont know the version, i did not install it, the seller did )
so i had often some greenscreen, so i decided to flash.
I took this image on this thread.

i flash, press - to update as asked, reboot.
But nothing, my tv stay blue ( means something is plug but no signal )
And on the vu+uno stay on : Vu+ uno with HD logo
for 10 minutes now.

what should i do, reflash ?
change image ?

regards

sorry, the tv switch on wrong hdmi
It's very strange who a seller install automatically this image instead the original one released by Vu+ Company.
Try to flash the original image and verify it's all correct and then re-install the BH image.

I have a serious problem with HDMI-CEC in combination with Philips TV's
The one I am using mainly is a current model 42PFL7676h

The problem is that the HDMI-CEC plugin monopolizes the HDMI-Port configured.
What I mean by that is:
- The TV is switched to the HDMI port as configured permanently as long it is not put in Deep Standby mode or Powered-OFF.
Putting the VU+ in standby does not help either. Still keeping my TV locked on that port.
- Using the remote of the TV is is totally impossible to switch to another HDMI resource.
Any selection to any other HDMI port flips back immediately to the VU+ (must unplug its cable to watch anything else)
Only selecting Analog ports as the Source still does work on the TV
- Changing the HDMI port for the TV on the VU+ HDMI-CEC panel moves the behavior to the corresponding port on the TV.
Happens also with the latest v7.0 code from VU+ itself.

Things get even uglier if one tries any new code with the VU+ connected via HDMI not being port-1:
- All new codes have HDMI-CEC enabled by default with HDMI Port-1 as the default entry
- If a Philips TV is actually connected to another HDMI port the following happens:
= The VU+ will boot normally and via lets say HDMI port-2 the initial screen pop's up
= The GUI will be started and next the TV is switched automatically to HDMI port-1
= Obviously the screen on the TV turns black ("No signal is detected" display)
= The VU+ seems to hang but in fact isn't, provided someone moves it now physically to HDMI Port-1
This took me busy for at least half a day. Tried analog and everything. Loaded several recent releases etc etc

After finding the root cause:
Tried changing all HDMI-CEC options and combinations but none helps here.
Does not matter what action is selected for VU-On, VU-standby or VU deep sleep etc.
Only reverting back to a older release with HDMI-CEC disabled got things working again.
Using the Blue "Disconnect" option on the HDMI-CEC panel frees up my TV
With Yellow "Connect" (the TV is then on another port) brings me back. (used as a bypass now)
Putting the UNO in standby (Source Deselect) should do the same but does not with BH 1.7.2

I am not getting any image on "TV Galicia" on my UNO with BH 1.7.2 and earlier 3.1.1 based images.
I upgraded to FPGA 4.4 and the signal level is very high (above 93% with no errors).

The channel gives sound without problems but generally speaking no image. Occasionally a partial prozen image may pop-up.

The channel is Free To Air SD, it is available on Astra 19,2E and can be found easily.
Other details can be provided, but finding the channel should be very easy.

I have checked this channel working fine here TV Galicia on 19.2 e
It could be an LNB problem. Some Lnbs dont work properly with VU+Uno
Try deleting the channel from you main channel list and rescan maybe this helps

Dear Friend welcome to community.
No Issue with "TV Galicia".
88% signal old Samsung LNB.
As for HDMI-CEC yes there are many issues. But this is work in progress for VU+.
I suggest to contact first your reseller (he can directly contact VU+ Support and specify your issue details ).
Enjoy you TOP Receiver.
