To flash a new image, don´t know if it is the case but, you have to disconnect all your usb devices, i.e., you can´t have any usb device connected to your STB.

For which model receiver, and which image?
A zip file is just a compressed file, which allows for quicker uploads, and downloads, to, and from, a website.
You can open a zip file using Winzip, Winrar, or the free 7-zip program.
 
Thank you for your clear and precise instructions. I have the VU+ SOLO SE and found best to leave it for 5 minutes during update to be safe. For Newbies like me ; When you Power off, Insert USB stick and then Power back up again, the front Light will flicker as it reads the USB, this is normal, you cannot and will not be able to power up the system from your remote till the update is complete. After 5 minutes ( to be safe) Power off, remove the USB stick and then Power up again, Use the remote to exit standby and the New Image will boot up and ask you for Setup.
 
Hi! I flashed my Vu+ Solo2 and after reboot setup begins.
First step: I have to press "OK" (on remote control) when I see the picture in TV, to choose video input HDMI / SCART / RGB.
But I can't go on because nothing happens when I press ok (neither with other buttons), except for the red light on remote control that flashes...
Before flash the remote control worked great.
I flashed the box with other images (OpenPLI and VIX) but the same thing happens: flash OK and stop at the same step of setup.
Nothing connected at the box except for HDMI cable.
Can u help me? Thanks

However, I can suggest you to try to change your remote control batteries.
 
Can anyone help me with vu plus solo pro? I am trying to configure as already explained with USB stick, but all I get is black tv screen, and vu plus set front red light at the beggining then blue light all the time. Can't shut it down with remote neither operating with it. Thanks in advance to whom might get me any advice.

Vu+Solo PRO doesen't exists ... so you have bought a fucking clone ... not welcome here.
You have won a week ban.
 
If you go into the Menu, select Information, and About, you should read Firmware, Blackhole 3.0.1.F, if you have loaded that image.
