Open BlackHole Online Update

Yes, because he said there is no problem in 4.0.018, but it's not so. Maybe the quote was not appropriate? ;)
But the problem was still there, at least until 4.0.018. I haven't tried the 019, yet, in OMB.

@Alexwilmac

id you have a timeshift folder on your device?

as for example:

Code:
/media/hdd/timeshift

I am just supposing, you haven´t a "timeshift" folder ... or you haven´t the enough room space on your device! ;)

best regards
nunigaia

Yes, I have timeshift folder (I never change the default settings) and yes, I've got enough space: about 350Gbytes ;)
It can't be that anyway, if you read all the tries and experiments I did by my 3 devices. Six configurations in all (3 in flash and 3 in OMB).

I made an update today and seem fine but the tuner config is crashing.

I fixed by edit the settings file my self so all runs fine but of cause no tuner config is possible ;)
I think you forgot to remove your custom systeminfo.py before you updated

So you have a hdd connected directly to your zero4k with 350GB spare and it's mounted as /media/hdd ?

Or are you using a network drive ?

No, I'm talking about my main VU+, the Solo4K.
In Duo2 there a 1Tb HDD; in Zero4K (where I gave up trying) there a 64Gb flashdisk.
About updates, I'm trying now to update also the OBH instance in OMB, but today is slower than ever (as always, I use command line to update).

And is it necessary? I've never done it and always ran well... Yesterday I updated the 4K Duo, without removing Systeminfo.py, successful update (it took much longer than usual).

UNO 4KSE is currently updating, if there is a problem communicated here.

Yes, the 4.4.0.19 update is very fast, and no problems were found. This patch is the most 209 patches at a time. I don't know what they have fixed. Can it solve the problem that mediaportal cannot be upgraded? The version on the server is too old, and it always prompts to upgrade, but the upgrade fails. Installing a new version of mediaportal is perfect, but every time you upgrade, there is a patch upgrade, and there is nothing after the upgrade. There is still an update, please fix it in the next version

I get confused with your posts.

You said you keep all default settings.
You said your issue was Zero4K

Then you reply about Solo4K and mention Duo2.

So to be clear.

Which box do you have a problem with ?

If Zero4K you are using usb stick correct ?

If yes, what is the usb stick mounted as, /media/hdd, or /media/usb ?

And does whichever mount it is using contain a movie and a timeshift folder ?

No the only way to fix this, is to remove mediaportal from the feeds completely.
There will be no further updates as I understand it as the author isn't happy about unofficial updates being posted on various boards.

Yes, this time you are right in being confused. It happen, though, only because another user reported what I tried to report in another thread. So, I explained there exactly what I experienced with those submenus.
Actually, I also posted the link to that thread, only citing a few rows from it. But the thread where I reported all the tries is this:

No up and down possible in Rec,Play& Timeshift submenus

Please do not delete the old version of mediaportal on the server. If you delete it, there will be no mediaportal in the future. If you install the old version of the pure firmware on the server, you can get the runtime completely, install it and then install the package upgrade, so that it can be used perfectly. If you only install the offline package , It will crash when playing the video and cannot be used

Is that the official version you have just posted, because if not, then this is the exact reason their will be no future updates.

The openbh-4.4.013 version is the most stable version. The openbh-4.4.013-openbh-4.4.019 tuner has a slow problem. For example, you are watching iptv and switch to satellite programs after watching. There will be no signal in a short period of time, so change it a few times before the program channel has a signal.

Meanwhile there is another update available but it is going with the slowest speed ever seen! What's going on lately with the feeds' server? It has become normal to have such a slowness.

After a long time, it managed to complete the update to 4.4.020.
Considering the many changes particularly in python code, maybe it'd be a good idea to release a new installer to start from this subrelease.
