Vu+ DUO Boot Loader Updgrade

It wont install here... when i power up vu+duo whith usb-stick in, it says "reading usb" for a while and just starts up normally...
Could it be something wrong with the usb-stick? It works fine on my PC thogh. Its FAT32 formatted.
ive tried all 3 usb ports on the vu.
any brand of usb thats not supported on the vu+?

try this way:
1. unplug all other usb devices
2. shut down your box
3. wait 3 minutes
4. plug your pendrive in the front usb port
5. power up your box

your can also try reformatting the pendrive with fat32 or fat16 file systems... (and verify the correct folder structure for the upgrade files... e.g. vuduo folder, etc..)

after telnet and cat /proc/mtd
dev: size erasesize name
mtd0: 07600000 00020000 "rootfs"
mtd1: 00400000 00020000 "kernel"
mtd2: 00200000 00020000 "boot"
mtd3: 00100000 00020000 "cfe"
................................................................

Why you don't have installed CFE Duo upgrade in your box?
I suggest to make that update. It's strongly mandatory for future images!
 
i trayed to update my bootloader this morning on my vuplus solo.

i waited one minutes and thes i power off.

The problem is that my box dont boot.

just red led on front side.

does someone have a solution for this problem ?

No serial output = no help (in this case)...
 
i already tried to connect with putty and hyper terminal, but nothing.
i also tried with vu tools, but at the second step, the prosses stop.
i think my vu+solo is dead
 
is it the same cable like for dreambox ?
i use one serial cable for flash my dreambox 500s with dream_up.

Very interesting: you have posted for a problem on your SOLO into thread for DUO box .... If you have flashed the Duo Bootloader into SOLO ..... we are studing a solution for YOUR mistake...

I think it's useful to all that you report all serial output of your box ...
