I haven't attached new devices. no USB hdd is connected. only sata hdd inside the box. USB stick is only connected when I flash bh image
I also tried to enable/disable meoboot. still the same hang on "starting..." in both cases. the only way to fix it is to reflash the image

Can be a SATA HDD problem. Detach it

I doubt it... just installed official image as of today, it restarts just fine, turn off/on - Starting... for just couple of seconds and than it boots just fine. just redownloaded BH, md5 shows the previous one I flashed and this redownloaded are the same. So there is no error while downloading or something. It's a BH issue, not issue of my box

I know it's forbidden to talk about cams. but one of them seams to be the one who prevents the box from booting. tried without that one. and it starts as expected. then tried a modification of bh 2.1.1 by a Russian guy (bh 2.1.1 by Pushkin). and that cam works just fine
 
Hi Guys

I installed the new 2.1.1 image today, but I clicked restore previous setting, does this matter?
Also my load up screen colour hasn't changed, it's still blue and not green as per the 1st page of this thread?
Also I have tried to load MSMedia but for some reason I get the message successfully downloaded need to restart enigma but it's not there when I reboot enigma, tried a couple of times? what could be the issue?

Hi Guys

Sorry meant to say TSMedia, clicked the red button to update and then download and it worked thanks.
Also I should have read all the thread regarding the blue colour start up screen
So all seems well at the moment will keep you posted if anything changes

Does anyone know why 1 channel movies doesn't work in TSmedia, it never used to work in my previous 2.1.0 image either

Why doesn't media player plugin remembers playback position when reading mkv files i have stored in my NAS ?

Dpends by box manufacturer.
Vu+ has it's own open source platform and the source code is freely avaiable. Other brands have it' own work method: closed source or open source.
